New iPod. Apps?

I'm not sure which apps to get and I'm also not sure if I should jailbreak it. Help on both topics would be great.

yes for sure jailbreak it but make sure you dont update it to software 3.1.3 it will not allow you to jailbreak

blackra1n is the best for jailbreaking and YOU WANT TO USE ROCK its better than cydia by far!

once youve jailbroken it install installous (look it up on youtube) then you can get any app in the app store free
