Love the idea but I see some flaws.

1) A rapist would probably be aware that these exist and easily detect and remove it.

2) A rapist would be really pissed off and would probably kill the person who did this to them

3) Like said above, bleeding all over the place is probably a bad idea.

I think it would be good in like 10% of situations, so maybe it is good to have but simple measures like not being alone, being careful, carry mace, etc would probably be better.
