What ever happened to the amplid boot?

It was released in 09 as a sample and was on order forms for the 09/10 season but very few orders were placed so it never went to production.

The POC boot was just a mock-up, I don't think it was ever a working boot...

ive ridden the subgenious boot for two seasons now.  love it, but the outsole is getting pretty worn down.  never had a use for the touring mode/feature, which was told that if the boot did go into production they were going to exclude that.
