According to gangstarr its 'steez'. As in "You Know My Steez" not sure if this is the origin of the word but i trust guru and premier on that one. i also have a feeling way too few of you actually know this song. Throwing an 'e' on the end is pure disrespect

the ea and ee thing is a bit irrelevant since most words were only decided upon because of what made it into print and not really about anything gramatical. Both make the same long ee sound.

Anyway, steeze seems more correct in that the e takes the confusion away from it potentially being plural. You wouldn't say chees but you would say trees because trees is plural and cheese is a thing.

Hope that makes sense.

Gangstarr released the album Moment of Truth featuring the billboard top 100 hit "You Know My Steez" in 1997-back you when all you little bastards were still shitting in your pants. This is for sure the first published use of the word.
