stfu asshole!

it was quite ok, but belongs in the Media and arts section....

editing was quite ok, maybe next time go for a shorter edit with better shots and boring parts left out...

also an artistic shot, landscape or sunset, a funny situation, whatever would be a welcome change and can give edits so much more value.....

also invest in a tripod, its much nicer for stationary filming....

gj however, i expected much worst :)

k now that i watched in I think you have the right idea, it was just too shaky. Some tripod shots with a sunset in the backround riding away or whatever would be dope.



 So I liked the fun you guys had, but it needs to be less shaky and have more scenic/artistic shots.

I would have re-shot the sequence starting at 1:24 because he missed that grind, and the next shot of that guy dropping off the ledge was pointless. I would have liked to have seen a couple of establishing shots of the stuff you hit, and maybe a little more slow motion like you did with that guy hitting that 4 or 5 stair. And do more oldschool tricks, I think I caught a no comply in there and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Maybe some more interesting shots with the camera, things like coming out from behind a ledge and then moving to capture someone grinding it, but the camera is a little low quality so IDK how good things like that would work.

I thought it was a really cool edit though. Really enjoyed the song, good skating, I like how you began and ended on the same shot. Shot of fucking around in the mall was rad lol.

well really no offense, but it was a pretty basic edit, you didnt really try any more advance techniques, it was all follow cams.

Your lines would look better if you took more time filming them, like follow one of the skaters into a grind, and then for like aa stair set switch to a different angle, it would look alot smoother.

take off the fucking fisheye every once in a while. It was on for pretty much the whole film and was really annoyin, plus is makes the quality of the shots go down,

invest in a  tripod.

time the music with the edit, make landings fall on big snare hits or something

peace.

The thing is this montage was a trowaway montage. I am getting a new camera( hv40) beacsue this one recently broke. It was kind of a montage to remember good times with This cam lol.

Pretty dece. A little shaky, like the people above said, use a tripod every now and then. More artistic stuff would help. Most skating/skiing/blading and so forth edits are pretty uniform. The more unique stuff you add and the more angles you throw in the better.

Okay, I didn't read the other replies so people might have already said this but, join skateperception.com it's all about filming skating. Ns is not the place you wanna be for a skater. Learn how to film correctly with a fisheye, it really degraded the quality of the skating, and CLEAN YOUR LENS also very important. Editing wise was good for the most part just try to not put as much abstract/lifestyles in the beginning and if your going to do so (which I recommend) definitely make them longer putting a bunch of random 2 second clips in usually doesn't work. Best of luck for future edits!

you should  clean your lenses, but it want to bad i would try to take out some of the random shots and put some funny stuff in there and maybe a different song but thats just my opinion, and also media and arts.

skating wasn't bad at all, would've been better if your buddies were skating faster
as for the filming .. pretty sketchy.. u need a tripod, and on your follow cams you need to be smoother they were pretty shaky

kinda had that when he was skating in the department store. I thought it was dope. I liked how you didnt just shoot on shot and cut it like you hit a feature then go and hit another one. I thought it was pretty sick.

-clean your camera at 1:22, there is a leaf on he lens
-The shooting was repetitive a bit, I would get more angles with different tricks
-I suggest more transitions, it kinda looked like windows movie player edit

What I loved about it is you showed the fun in progression on a skateboard. You made every scene look like a fun summer/fall day with the buddies, and that is what I search for in a edit.

I didnt like how quickly it would change shots on the random ones that you weren't doing tricks in, right when I saw it it changed it felt like.

props to whoever was wearing The Misfits shirt. Use some other kind of music next time, wasn't feelin it at all. Just don't use rap. but decent skating, nothing too special, but decent. Filming was ok, like everyone else said, if your not doing follow cams then use a tripod if at all possible.

that was the exact point of this edit, im getting a new cam so theese clips basicaly resemble the good times i have had filming with this cam.
and to everyone else
the shaky shots were basicaly from the steady shot on my camera. the sensor is broken and what happens is when i hold it still the picture moves around. the only wierd thing is it happens only on longlens. with the fisheye the vig is supposed to move but it doesnt so now the entire cam is broken.

definetly...skateperception is pretty awesome
im not too sure y everybody else wasnt that into it though
the skating was good and for the most part the filming and editing was good...just try to get more creative with editing and different camera angles
