Adding Friends..

I had an idea, and facebook made me think of it. when you want to add someone as a friend there should be a friend request sent to that person, for them to decline/ accept/decide later. only reason for this is because i look through peoples profiles and kids have 20 pros as their friends. its not harming anyone, it just fuck me off really...
thoughts?
or am i just ranting over a tiny thing?

I kind of like it the way it is because i can add people if I want to watch their videos, pictures, or look at their threads when I'm not necessarily their actual friend

I think it's been suggested before.. But maybe not a friend request sent, but a pm or notifcation sent saying this person has added you as a friend. Or a page that could show you who has you as a friend.

This is not a bad idea, people are curious about things like this.

Personally though, I don't really care to make the "add a friend" a feature on NS...it seems silly imo. I think its been a mutual opinion amongst members in the past to not have this become a part of NS as well. The opinion could have changed though, things are always changing. =)

having a request for a friend is the stupidest fucking idea ever. You can see everything in their profile if their your "friend" or not. Basically, "friending" someone on NS is just a way to see if someone is online at the same time as you and makes it easier to get to their profile because its linked to yours so you can see their videos/pictures/blog/feedback/whatever.

Who cares if kids want to follow pros and watch their videos? How in any way does it effect you if they friended someone?

yeah i do like this idea, honestly id be curious about it haha

but yeahhhh i still dont really think adding a friend would really be beneficial to the site, i like it the way it is now, kinda like a quick link to someones profile, nothing more

think of ns friends as the version of 'mythreads' but for friends. they're pretty much solely there so you can keep track of someone. people are friends with pros so they can watch their videos and look at their pics, or sometimes if they're just really creepy

i don't think there should be friend requests, but you should get something in your inbox or somewhere that tells you they added you as a friend
