Best snow park in Europe?

I've been put in charge of my university's ski trip and although most people on the trip won't be freeskiers they'll enjoy anything. There's a few of us who enjoy the park and a bunch who want to learn.

I was wondering which snow park is the best in Europe? I know Tignes had X Games Europe but that could just have been down to sponsorship.

if your going for the alps i would say that les 2 alps is a good alternative. they actually have park year around and are pretty famous for having a good park. for some reason people seem to think that val thorens usually have a good park, but from my experience its actually not. Also, STAY AWAY FROM Serre Chevalier, Bad Gastein, St Anton and Chamonix, these are all very popular resorts for freeriders and european "seasoners" in general, but its absolutely not for there park! even if you want to go BC, stay away from these since they get totaly shredded first day after a dump, Serre isn't as bad as the other though.
Also, ther's alot of sick parks up in scandinavia, but that shouldn't even be an option for a class trip to EU. the rest of the mountain and the overall experience has nothing compared to the real mountains in southern EU like France, Austria, switzerland, and Italy. and i mean NOTHING

I think the best parks in Europe i've ever been to are either Laax in Switzerland or Mayrhofen

Ive spent this whole winter in Mayrhofen,Austria and i can for sure say they live up to their reputation of being one of the best parks in the alps. Super sick, this year they had 2 small jumps, 2 red ones and  3 "pro", last one was huge. And a very good setup of rails and boxes, wallride and such. They shape the whole park 2-3 times a day and the park got it own lift so u always have something to watch while u ride the lift. I would recommend Are, Sweden aswell. But that kinda depends on when you are travelling. The park is usually completly build up in like Mars. hope thats helping you.

Deux alpes man, for sure.  Done 2 seasons there now, and again next year.   Big range of jumps, from small to 80+ft.  beginner boxes/rails moving up to bigger ones.  Great town too, heaps of bars for you and your student mates to crack on to.  What uni is it for?

haven't been to too many euro parks since i prefer going into the backcountry during winter and don't care that much about how the park is...

but this year i went to Kronplatz in italy, a real crappy resort for anything but parkskiing, their park blew my mind!!

Holy Cow! Kronplatz looks so sick but pretty intimidatin! Are there any smaller jumps there?! Or shorter rails? Wanna hit that up sometime so badly!

Anyone ever been to the tignes park in the summer? going in july... so excited! anyone been? any tips?!

I would say Laax, Swiss in the winter, and Les deux alpes in the summer. Mayrhofen and Hintertux in Austria have pretty nice parks too. and I heard Flachauwinkl is amazing, but I never been there.

yeah sure, their lines start with a family line (just some bumps) then a beginners park, small jumps/rollers and boxes
an intermediate park with normal sized jumps, boxes, rails, etc.
and a pro-line with that one giant kicker, a cannon-box, c-rail /c-box over cable cabine, stair-module, etc....

there are loads of good parks in europe. my pick for a uni trip would be tignes. as a whole package, which is what you want for a uni trip, it is unbeatable. the town is fun and cheaper than val d'isere its neighbour. the val d'isere oakley valpark is now one of the top 5 in europe without a doubt, the freeride terrain is mindblowing, the snow is normally among the best in the alps, there are 300km of pistes for the cruisers, and the resort is popular with uni trips- companies like off the piste can hook you up with all inc trips for like £300 pp, and that includes travel, lodging, skipass, some drinks vouchers etc. trust me, tignes is where it's at.

It's all about Morzine and Avoriaz! We have got 3 big parks including the stash (all natural terrain park) and a halfpipe in Avoriaz alone. And there are in total 6 big parks if you include the connecting resorts which are under the same lift system. This includes the Croset park which is world class and this year MSP brought Russ Henshaw and Bobby Brown over there for a monster booter session! Believe!

les 2 alps fo sho!

it's perfect for a uni trip, the main restaurant people have lunch at is right at the bottom of the park and is easily accessed from most runs/the glacier. apres ski there is phenomenal, great music. expensive drinks though. the towns nightlife it good also!

get in touch with wasteland ski, they sorted us out with great deals on booze and in the yeti bar (a bar which is underneath your apartments) the barmen run a policy of tits for shots so no one pays for shots all nights and you get to see bewbs. win win. they also do a mountain meal. a restaurant on the slopes you ski in, have a unlimited booze meal, also with free shot of some random home-made liquor the owner was passing around, and then have a death ride to the bottom of the hill in the dark.

only bad thing (not an issue for us) snowboarders will struggle as there are some flat areas.

i think the best snowparks in europe are definately around the north of italy(southtirol), austria and switzerland!!!!!!!!

Flachau, mayrhofen and laax are the shit...
But in France and Italy there are some pretty sick parks like : oakly valpark (tignes) and les 7 laux...
In italy you have : val senales, kronplatz and king laurin park
Also make sure you check out serfaus-fiss-ladis , they've got some pretty sick parks over there..

Mayrhofen has a sweet park, which is year round combined with hintertux....

L2A is the spot where europe goes in summer I guess

Ha Ha you all make me laugh ' oh Tignes, oh Les Deux oh oh oh I like paying 7 Euros for a Beer and 8 for a portion of chips' really please stop being so British and bah bah bah all the way to France every year.

The following is a link to a site that did a survey on the best parks in Europe and the French ones are way down the lot, I've ridden quite a few parks over the years in Europe and while the parks in France are really good I haven't come across such park heaven anywhere that beats Flachauwinkl in Salzburgerland, Austria.

wave boxs, big  booters, wallride, more booters, advanced/medium jib park, superpipe all over a 1 and half km long run and a Burton Stash park  adjoining it now.

Austria rules (certainly kicks the Ass out of France, people are friendlier and beer is cheaper (3.50 a pint out east))

But if you like lower standards of hospitality then keep going to France....

You know I totally agree. Austria>France.

Did my first trip there this year to Saalbach-Hinterglemm with the British Unis Ski Championship and a week in Obergurgl beforehand and both were a shit load better than France.

mayrhofen is so sick. nice people, not too expensive and 3 minutes a lift ride.. come on. flachauwinkl and kitzsteinhorn are sick too but their park lifts are too long..

i agree with this i havnt been many places but tignes is pretty damn good. stay in val claret if you can. its got 2 pretty decent parks, an airbag in the tignes one, good piste skiing, good pipe and as you said fucking sick off piste. if you got the gear try do the tour of the balme, mickeys ears and some of the chutes opposite a lift called lanches.
