I need a trust worthy pop up blocker, Any ideas?

So my new laptop is going a little nuts with stupid pop up's and i need a free pop up blocker, because the standard IE one isn't cutting it.

Please help

well you're using internet explorer, so that's your first problem.

i'm gonna guess you've been on a computer for about a week to be using that, so before you continue, get a different browser. Anything is better than IE, two common ones being Firefox or Google Chrome.

Chrome is faster, while firefox has many useless addons and one good one being ad blocker or whatever it's called.

ps: get chrome.

dude i like IE, not that i have used anything else other than IE, and i just dont wanna change it,

However, the problem was that these random "congratulations, you've won!!!" noises would come out of no where and scare the shit out of me!! so i just downloaded Ad aware, and that seems to have fix the issue, and i turned up the pop blocker setting a little higher and thats working good as well

I like how right when i post that i get a bomb of pop ups going off, and the fucking bejeweled menu music playing CONSTANTLY, so im over powering that with some rammstein but its really annoying

Nah i just downloaded Firefox, and I'm actually LOVING IT!!!

NO pop up's AND ITS DOING SPELL CHECK IN NEWSCHOOLERS!!!!

I LOVE IT!! WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING!!!!
