Fuck wisdom teeth

so i got all 4 pulled out this morning, i woke 6 hrs later and I feel ok. I have no swelling yet, but the headache is killing me. I believe that my pain meds give me nausea.

Otherwise, this aint all that bad so far. I have yet to eat
All I can say about wisdom teeth is fuck em and people should stop complaining and making up horror stories.

Sorry for the pointless thread, the meds are working and im so lonley today

Yeah it doesn't hurt that bad. It's very annoying though. Staying home for 3 days eating only soup and Jell-o kinda suck..

mine sucked because i have a pretty bad overbite. my jaw got super swollen and I couldn't eat anything for 5 or 6 days. Shit sucked so hardcore. Whenever I got hungry I just took a couple of hydros and passed out.

I dunno man, this shit kinda sucks. I got mine out last thursday, I got sedated and woke up feeling crazy messed up and can barely remember some things that happened even though I can kinda remember being awake during the end and when i left there and waited in the car to get some pain meds for 45 minutes and don't even remember that. My gums got way swollen and are taking awhile to heal up, still flaps of gums back there, a little bleeding once in a while.. I would recommend not taking to many pain pills though and also drinking some prune juice or something after a day or two so you can take a normal shit. Ibuprofen helps too instead of pain pills if you don't have to much pain.

I was sedated supposedly, which means I just don't remember anything but not knocked out. The doc said that sometimes you can just hold a conversation with the doctors and not even know it and that kind of made me nervous cause I was like fuck what if i start talking about a bunch of fucked up shit. It seems like I was pretty much asleep though. It was pretty nice cause I hate having to sit through dentists drilling away on my teeth and gums.
I haven't gotten a lot of surgery in my life so I was a bit nervous about being sedated and stuff, but it actually turned out pretty legit.

got all 4 removed after midterms (had a couple days off)
it sucked, but it was a very good decision to get it done. i had no complications (no dry sockets) and i healed up good. according to my dentist, it doesnt look like i ever had surgery.
And now i dont have to worry about it. they are out, they are gone, i get to laugh at all my friends getting them out

Ok that must explain the prune juice hahaha. But yeah, they offered me to do it at the hospital under sedatives but I had to wait for at least 8 months in order to have the surgery. So they just froze my mouth at the clinic. Seriously, I didn't feel a thing, everything went well and it lasts for maximum 20 minutes. And I got a super fast recovery after. But sometimes I could feel the blood drooling from my mouth hahaha.

idk, mine arent hurting or so, they just arent in line with the other teeth. they are tilted towards the near cheek. hopefully they never start hurting or so, i dont need that "surgery".

Just make sure you keep those things clean!  Do not wanna get an infection and have to go back in to get them cleaned out and stitched back up.  Wisdom teeth suck

Mine didn't hurt after the first day, I think I took about 4 of the 30 T3s I was prescribed. The swelling got pretty bad and the bruising made it looked like I had gotten punched in the face but other than for my job interview that didn't bother me. Really the worst of it all was that the antibiotics didn't agree with me so instead of a couple of days of no eating I got sick every time I tried to eat solid food for the following 2 weeks.

had all 4 removed over spring break this year and spent the whole week sleeping, playing video games, and finding random shit on the internet.

i was able to have pudding the first day to tide me over, then pasta for most of the week while i recovered because you dont exactly have to chew it.

had ribs on the third day without a problem, just keep the food away from the back of your mouth when chewing and take your time eating. also had chicken at some point in the week and that was a little more bothersome because it wasnt as tender as the bbq ribs.

i never used any heavy medications and managed to tolerate any pain with some regular no-name ibuprofen. i guess some people have a lot more trouble with them but most of the time, people just take the meds because theyre prescribed.

yeah it sucks, ive had mine pulled too. try braking your tibia bone in the ball joint of your knee to the point where you need a plate and 4 screws :) thats what im putting up with right now sitting in my bed alllllll lonely hahahah sorry to here your mouth is swelled at least that will go down in a few days

... i have to get them pulled on the june 30th, then next day i have summer school, july 4th weekend = mammoth park :) hopefully ill be good for school a little bit... and hopefully mammoth has some sort of park in july..

yeah i heard about that too, its weird as hell.
I was like half conscious when he was doing the stitches. I felt something getting pulled through my gums, i though it was a tooth getting pulled but it just kept going and going (cuz it was really a stitch) and it weirded me out

and when i came too, i was cracking jokes, asking to drive home. I also walked into a wall

I had mine removed last monday. I really didn't have much pain, and the worst part was not being able to eat anything substantial for nearly a week.  If you have strong painkillers, make sure you don't take them on an empty stomach, that made me feel like shit and i almost yacked open my stitches. 

Good luck with the recovery though, getting your wisdom teeth out is a great excuse to be lazy as fuck for a few days. I sat in my basement for two days watching movies and generally bumming around.

Hey, update time

I lived relatively confortable yesterday, but tonight, the pain changed and increased. a couple of hours ago, the pain increased slowly, over a few hours, but then it peaked. I lost feeling of my right upper cheek (the one that had to cut the jaw bone to extract the tooth) all the way up to my right forehead via the bone beside and under the eye. There is a significant sharp feeling on the top socket and inside the cheek.

I took a rivacocet and after an hour the pain was under control, but after 3hrs the pain is back and I cant take another dose until another 2 hrs. The pain is so strong, Im not sleepy and I cant fall asleep, even less stay asleep. In 3 days, I have got about 8hrs sleep, non continous.

I am getting nervous, this is supposed to get better, but im feeling mentally and physically strained.

wait until the swelling kicks in. your mouth goes so fucking fat its not funny. and eatings a bitch. sorry, just had to let you know. the swelling only stayed about a week for me though, so good luck with getting better, because i know how shitty it is

i had awesome yellow bruises along the bottom of my jaw for like a week and a half.

in fact... this is about a week after surgery:

yellow discoloration along jaw and a bit down the neck. this was on both sides after the swelling went down.

Lucky bastard, I have been eating yogurt and apple sauce for the past 3 days. I have lost 15 pounds in 3 days (172 to 157. The pain is the reason why I cant eat. Shit man, I swore I could feel the entire nerf pathways when I had some yogurt.

And I am reaaaally looking foward on getting high, times are tough.

But it does suck on the hard foods, cant have anything like that for about 5-6 days (so they tell me)

Yea getting them out isn't that bad. I got them out back in December and it was my first surgery ever so I was kinda nervous but its not bad at all. Mine weren't impacted so I had like no pain at all. You just get like odd headaches and such, but its not that bad. I wanted to ski the next day but my mom said no haha.

On June 30th I'm getting 5 teeth pulled, all wisdoms, and one in the front. Then the next week, I'm getting a full set of braces. I thought I out grew braces last year but whatever.

When I got mine out, they shattered, so they came out in like 50 pieces........I didn't take a single pain medication and the day after getting it out I was playing basketball at a basketball camp and scored 74 points in one game (at the time I was 16 and six foot 3 and everyone else at the camp was 14 and five foot six haha

Basically, I had no pain at all, but other people do have pain, it really depends on your mouth, everyone's is different

bump had them pulled out yesterday and i dont feel a thing in my jaw!


on the other hand my left cheek is ridiculously swollen and it hurts when i swallow... plus its Canada day tomorrow and i might have to sit that one out. fuck.

I had mine out 3 weeks ago. I was never in any pain and it was actually chill, I just kicked it and munched on vics for a couple days, then went back to life as normal. Not being able to smoke cigarettes was really the only bad part about it (I smoked weed anyway).

When I went in for my follow up one part went like this

Nurse: So have you had any pain?

Me: Nope, none at all actually, not even a moment, I was really surprised

Nurse: Did you take all of your pain medication? (20 vics)

Me: Uh............yes

Nurse: Do you need a refill?

Me: Uh......hmmmm.......naaah, better not

Amen, I got stabbed in the mouth 4 times and waited 10 minutes. Dude came back ten minutes later and ripped two out, I walked out the door 10 minutes later and lit a butt.

I also shave my taint with a rusty bowie knife and only eat animals that are still bleeding.

this march i spent 8 days in the hospital, all of which i wasnt allowed to eat or drink anything, THAT sucks, at the end of it i was so stoked on jello and soup i dont even think i can communicate it through text. anyways, yeah wisdom teeth suck, but it aint that bad, just pop them pills and doze off for a few days, thats what i did lol
