Where did tall-T's come from?

i heard this from a friend:

well i originally said jesus, but i did some research and found out some interesting stuff. many scholars believe that it was gandalf the grey (later known as gandalf the white) that popularized the tall tee during the first age of middle earth. as you can tell, he also has perfected the "layered" look that so many modern day skiers strive for.  according to a gondorian scholar, after sauron fell, mordor froze over, and gandalf did the first descent of mount doom on skis at the end of the third age. then he afterbanged all the way to the grey havens and was never heard from again.
