Using an actual ladder for Summer drop in?

Has anyone done this, being using a ladder, covering the steps with astro turf, and using that? Seems pretty quick to me, so can this be done and did it work?

A friend and I did something very similar. We took 2 boards and make pvc rungs a foot apart all the way up. It definatly works for speed you just need a few feet of astroturf before the jump to get yourself situated.

I know what you are saying, and I was planning on doing that, but then I thought a regular old ladder could do the trick.
