You bring the World Cup to a place like South Africa to help them develop economically and to get persons of foreign nations to learn about South Africa. Moreover, you are giving the South Africans something to unite behind, the South African team. Nationalism, while it is dangerous can be very beneficial to a country with a horrible past. Why should we take this away from them, enough has already been banned in South Africa.

It's an AFRICAN World Cup. It's been an African tradition for a long time. If FIFA didn't think people would be using vuvuzelas during the World Cup, they are retarded.

The President of FIFA is actually refusing to ban them for the very reasons listed above.  The Vuvuzela horn is a part of South African culture, and has been for a long time.  Just because some Americans that watch soccer once every four years complain about it is no reason to even consider banning it, and the people im referring too are those that have actually sent complaints to the TV channels that are airing the World Cup.
