Semicolon (;)

Use a semicolon when you link two independent clauses with no connecting words. For example:

I am going home; I intend to stay there.
It rained heavily during the afternoon; we managed to have our picnic anyway.
They couldn't make it to the summit and back before dark; they decided to camp for the night.

You can also use a semicolon when you join two independent clauses together with one of the following conjunctive adverbs (adverbs that join independent clauses): however, moreover, therefore, consequently, otherwise, nevertheless, thus, etc. For example:

I am going home; moreover, I intend to stay there.

You did not use the proper form of tense.

Not a big fan of police but in this case that bitch was totally in the wrong, resisting arrest and what not. That's why whenever I get stopped by the cops i just cooperate and treat them with respect and it usually goes more in your favor than not

i don't think you usually get arrested for jaywalking, this cop obviously wasted his time with these girls and now he looks like an asshole. There are way more important things he should be doing than fight with teenagers. Also what a dumb bitch for fighting back with a cop she should know better, cops will almost always abuse their power.

she wasn't getting arrested for jaywalking. He was probably just going to give them a warning or a ticket for jaywalking, but then if you read the article it said she got mouthy and started to leave, which she did not have permission too which is why the officer was going to arrest her.

fighting some girls def wasn't his intentions when he left the house that morning, what started was a routine incident, and he probably only planned to give a warning. but the suspects decided it would be better to resist, and no matter what you don't resist, unless you want to go to jail.

What I am saying is that he could have just let go of her when she was putting up a fuss but instead he kept trying to push her into the car. completely unnecessary and now he looks like a douche. All he had to do was let go of her and tell her next time she gets caught jay walking hes gonna give her a ticket or whatever the penalty is in Seattle. But now he has to be investigated and these two dumb bitches are getting in a shit ton of trouble. Also i'm just wondering, is it called resisting arrest if you weren't going to be arrested in the first place?

So you are saying let people break the law and when they are supposed to be receiving their punishment, if they put up a fuss, just let them go and say "please behave next time"? You have got to be kidding me. There would be no order and the world would go to a mess.

And you're right, she wasn't getting arrested in the first place for jaywalking, but she was getting arrested AFTER SHE TRIED TO LEAVE WHEN THE OFFICER WAS TRYING TO TALK TO HER FOR JAYWALKING.

Wow, that escalated out of control pretty quickly jesus. Even though the women were both resisting arrest and in a strictly lawful way warranted the officers response, I still think he could of handled it better. That being said, I don't think the cop should be fired. He was in a very bad situation with it growing even worse. Unfortunately I think we all know this wouldn't be nearly as big a deal if the cop was black or the victims were white. Racial tensions are becoming super sensitive nowadays, even if that cop was a card carrying member of the NAACP he is still going to be branded "racist!" instead of "scared cop trying to protect himself." Shitty situation all around I say. Definitely not black and white. Shades of gray all ova this bitch.
