So im studying abroad at otago uni this semester and im headed to coronet peak sunday and monday. Any way i can get discounted passes? $95 a day is pretty steep. Also, where should i rent my equipment? If any of you guys could hook me up with a pass or gear, my friends and i have a house in arrowtown sunday night that you would be welcome to crash at, beverages provided as well.
the remarkables are opening this saturday and if you head up there you get student deals of $69 the website says. there will most likely be a park ready up there and not one up coronet if thats what you are into. can also get a free bus from downtown qtwn if buying a daypass for the remarks. i prefer remarks so have a pass for there but am going to head up coronet today for my first ski of the year! woot!
Hey bro, yeah you should get a student discount on the pass up any mountain with your student i.d. but im not sure how to get any cheap gear. In queenstown at small planet they usually have some cheap second hand stuff. But definately go to remarks if you want park because coronet doesn't have anything.
Two things:
1) NZ ski dont do student passes on weekends so you will have to pay the full price.
2) If you are a student at Otago uni go and hire your gear from OUSA down at UniPol. Probably about 20 bucks a day or less for everything.
Im going to Mt Dobson sunday - 55 dollar day passes
