I'm gonna live there for a year starting next September. Student exchange program. I am mega stoked.

Where to ski? So many places ... Am I better off with a season pass somewhere or is it just better to travel to different mountains?

I don't give much fuck about park... I am obviously NOT going to the Swiss alps to jib metal and sesh groomed parks. I am looking for: POW and AWESOME TERRAIN.

Also any other info related to shit to do in the Lausanne area apart from skiing would be appreciated.

I hadn't posted in a while here, but I still value you NS! HELP ME!

PS: Budget wise I'm willing to spend 1000 CHF MAX. on pass-tickets. LETS GO.

hahah maybe i m working tonight from 19 and tomorrow from 10 pm till 2am... sucks i know then going to villars sur ollon to ride for a few days...

went to Chamonix (Grands Montets) yesterday ... it was greaaaaaat. lotssssssss of pow. going to ovronaz hopefully in the next days ...tomorrow im recovering from christmas

I will probably be moving to Lausanne for maybe 8 months next January. I am in exchange in EPFL. I was wondering is someone has a plug on where I could get a flat with people who ski quite alot and are students preferably !!

im going to a boarding school called Ecole d` humanite in S,witzerland where I can literally go skiing everyday during the season because our mountain is like 5 minutes away. Its called hasliberg and its relatively cheap, I guess. Check it out!

Hey guys, on a similar note I was wondering if anyone could help with seasons passes around Zurich? I mostly ski park, but want to get into free riding/ backcountry more so something with a good balance would be great. I won't have a car so public transport is a must. I was looking at either the meilenweiss pass which covers many resorts in the Zurich area, or the laax/davos pass which is more expensive and the resorts are farther away.

Any recommendations on what to get??

If you want park and freeride, get a LAAX pass, but the snow isn't brilliant there. Maybe Arosa or Davos is better for you

thanks man. I've been looking more into the local resorts as the laax pass is more expensive, and getting there everyday would be really pricey from zurich

are there any local resorts around zurich that have really good park scenes? it looks like mythen & pizol are decent, can anyone confirm/deny this?
