Replying to FKS / General Binding Question
My FKS 140's arrived this morning, and needless to say I'm extremely pumped to put them on my Caylors this fall.
I received everything that was expected in the package, all the documentation etc.
The one thing I did notice however is that the heel piece of one binding is engaged (as if someone should be clicked in to it) and the other heel piece is in a neutral un-engaged position.
Being unfamiliar with the FKS series of bindings, I'm a little apprehensive to simply try and force the engaged heel back to its regular resting position without any ski mounted on it (I've mangled my fingers in the past fooling around with bindings, learned my lesson now).
My question is this : If I was to leave the bindings as is until mounting my skis this fall, is there any strain being put on the springs / is this an acceptable way in which to leave them.
I know it's kind of a random question, but I'd rather not mess up my bindings before even getting the chance to ski them.
