Literally everyone should turn off their Fancy (GUI) Editor.

Unless you regularly make your posts in Bold, Italics, or Underlined you should turn that thing off. Why?

1. All links become hyperlinks automatically.
2. Video embeds always work.
3. Posting pictures is mega-easy ------> [IMG]ImageURL[/IMG]
4. Pages load faster.


Just do this:

Go to: "Manage My NS" (upper lefthand corner) --> Scroll down to "Enable the Fancy Editor (GUI)?" --> Click no.

Agreed, it probably should not even be there, with even a small amount of HTML knowledge you can basically do everything you can do without it.

honestly, people are retarded if they can't figure out pictures, videos, and links with the fancy editor or without. It is basic computer knowledge. It baffles me when people say they can't figure out how to post a video or picture without screwing it up. I used to not use the fancy editor and now I have it turned in. It really doesn't make a difference to me.

I think, it should be turned off for everyone, and people can read a "Basic NS HTML" sticky at the top of Site Discussion.

Also, that page could be linked to from the bottom of the text entry box.
