Enoch Train.

My grandfather has a big sailboat called the "Thistle."

His other one is a 36 foot Morris Yacht called the "Zoe Mary" after my grandmother...guy has been sailing for 80 years. So damn fun to go out on the water with him.

I know, but his is a Tayana that he had custom built for a sick price back in the 80's. He called it the "Thistle" because he loves Thistles.

That's his boat right there, Hallett sails used his pic on their website. The big V on the Spinnaker is his registered flag...V for Veasey.

I would just leave it named "the sandpiper". Someone named it that for a reason so its part your boats history.

And like mentioned before, it's bad luck to change the name.
