Has wallisch peaked?

You tell me. Share your thoughts on weather or not you think Tom Wallisch has peaked. Look at some of the things the greatest skiers have done. Jon Ollson, Candie Thovex, Simon Dumont, Tanner Hall, CR Johnson, Bobby Brown, and now Tom Wallisch.(You may think I'm one of those kids who follow Wallisch everywhere he goes(im not), but you cant deny, hes got fuckin style). Tell me if you think he can just get way better from here, how he's going to change the sport more, and if he'll always stay top dog. Thanks.

obviously as the sport continues to progress, he'll continue to get better. he'll keep learning new tricks and keep reworking how he does his old ones. the only way you can really tell if a pro has peaked or is past his prime is by comparing him to the learning curve of the sport and if he is still getting better relative to other pros.

have any of the skiers you mentioned peaked?  NO!    

Jon is still dropping new dubs.
Bobby just broke out THIS season.
Tanner is Tanner. 
Hatveit is still going nuts. 
Walliisch is still young.
Did you see Candide's bit from the big mountain challenge earlier this year (forgot name of the comp)?!??!

Tom is a fucking amazing skier. One of the most stylish in the game, amazing bag of tricks, almost certainly the best slope skier in the game at the moment.

He'll no doubt learn trips when he's good and ready, and put everyone elses' to shame in no time.

The only peak in skiing the the summit of the mountain - it's constantly changing, evolving, and growing, and when the sport grows the athletes grow with it...for example, before 2 years ago, there were only a handful of people doing doubles (remember Bobby Brown's winning Dew Tour run - it was amazing that he did two doubles in one run, and the announcers kept saying that Bobby was "one of the few who are really comfortable with doubles"), now there are 12 year olds throwing them. So the answer is no, Wallisch - nor ANYONE else in skiing for that matter - has reached their peak because there is no peak to reach.

Wallisch is a truly amazing skier, and I don't think there is a such thing as "peaking" in skiing.  That said, I lost some respect for Tom after the Joss incident.  It just made him out to be a jerk who just wants to win.

Meh, I don't really see it that way, I mean, he apologized and explained their reasoning, they felt that they were robbed and the judging was unclear (a video that would have gotten last place last year won this year - while a video like Down Under which was full of ridiculous skiing got 0 points?) And, in all honest, I feel that either Team Newschoolers or Team USA should have won that comp because their skiing was the best. But, that's not the point of this tread.

Do you mean in terms of PARK skiing, or skiing.

He has never done anything cool in big mountains, so I hope he has not peaked.

I don't see him as anything like top dawg.  That would be Sage, Seth, Tanner, Abma, Candide......One of those guys.

If he goes more in a backcountry direction from now on, then possibly his park skiing will have peaked now, but not his overall skiing.

Well Tom Wallisch is undeniably the true king of style. But I think he will be king for a year or two more and then a rookie like Sean Jordan or Alex Schlopy will take his throne.

There will be pros that continue to progress the sport further like Jon and there are pros that you barely hear about anymore (CR and Bobby) so maybe he will continue to progress the sport in urban but he is on thin ice, the tricks he throws down are BOUND to be beat eventually if not soon.

I disagree,

You never hear about him anymore unless it's the dew tour or X-games. His tricks are nearly flawless but thats all they are...

Preforming tricks like a robot and coming to a stop in your OWN progression basically makes the definition of peaked.
