Grouse open late for rail park!

Yeah, I just got word that grouse may push all the snow onto an easy run and make a rail park that would stay open until mid may or later. Unfortunatley to get this they need alot of emails supporting the park fairly soon. Email: guestservices@grousemountain.com if you are in the area, or if you plan on heading up and want some night skiing rail jams. (I didnt put this in the reigonals because they need the replies fast, and i got word late.)

here is what i just recieved bac from GS:
'Thank you for e-mailing us your comments about the terrain park and keeping it open. This year we have decided not to construct a temporary jib in Paradise Bowl. Last year's jib park was installed in response to the relatively modest snowfall of the season. We thought that in order to maximize the snowboard experience in a challenging year, we would offer a small portion of terrain that could be used for feature riding past the official closure date.
This year, as you know, we had phenomenal snowfall and managed to open all 26 of our runs in addition to the advanced and rookie snowboard parks. Accordingly, our efforts were directed at enhancing the features of the parks with consistent improvements and new additions. This season alone we added features like the D-Railed Industries 40' Cobra Commander S-Box, 30' Cheddar Bob Wave Box, and 2 Decepticon C-Boxes. Further, the 2003/04 season featured two very successful park events, with last weekend's amazing Wind Down/Show Down wrapping up the season in style.
Stay tuned for even bigger and better Terrain Parks and premier snowboarding events next season. If you have any more comments or questions, please keep them coming. We look forward to seeing you here again next season.
Sincerely,
Guest Services'

and my response back to GS:
'Kristin,
That is very unfortunate. There is a massive amount of support for this and I wish you would re-consider that decision. The press obtained for such an effort would elevate Grouse to the highest status internationally and lots of video crews would descend on the PJP. With the modest effort it would take for you to construct the park the return would easily out weight those costs.
I would ask you to please re-consider that decision and open the PJP this year.
Cheers!'

but wait there's more!
This then I just recieved back:
'Hi again John:
Sounds like you are pretty pationate about getting a bit more riding in this season.
I have already passed on the comments to our Mountain Operations Manager, and our Terrain Park Manager. It's not that we don't think it's a great idea, or that there isn't enough snow right now, it's just that our winter season has to wrap up sometime and we have to get ready for summer.
As you know, we had an amazing season, and there was a lot added to our Terrain Park this year. All of your comments, and those of everyone else are used to keep us in the loop, so if you have suggestions for next year, I would love to hear about them.
Thanks again for riding with us this season.'
So what 'the winter season has to wrap up sometime' means i have no idea at all. it does? well not according to intrawest it dosen't.
anyway i gave it my best shot....

^yeah i heard. after i send in that last one above she asked if i had any suggestions 4 next yr. i said get a wall. it's cheap to build and maintain and they have lots of places to put it.
i worry they might waste effort on a pipe and it would never be good or kept up well. but we'll see whut happens/.
