Im graduating today and my parents said they would help me buy a laptop for college as a grad present. Im going into engineering most likely so i need something that will run engineering programs like cad well. So im just guessing that means no mac books. Ill also prolly but a game or two on it. I want something that will just run smoothly with those programs. So my question is, what should i look for, and how much should i b expecting to pay.
first thing to do would be to check wut the school your going to uses, if they have education discounts, and the programs you will need so that you know minimum specs
on a side note i would say get an external harddrive because they are way cheaper than getting a bigger one in your laptop
So no help from school except for free word and antivirus programs. Did a little research and talked to my bro who is an engineering major. Im lookin for a dual processor, prolly more than 2.3 ghz, dont care about memory space. I want like a 16" screen, big but i can still carry it to class. Im guessing that ill be able to play games better with a viao. But frankly i just cant find the specs i want on something online.
