I made mine. I bought a pinhole (spycam) camera with a built in microphone of the internet. Just search for spy cams or pinhole cams. Ebay even has a bunch pretty cheap. I then made a powerpack out of some nine volt batteries. I fabricated housing for it out of some bike lube cans and then sealed it with duct-tape and silicon. You use RCA cable to connect it with your camcorder. Your camcorder has to have a Analog input to make this work. Most MiniDV cams do. It is basicaly a wired extension of our camcorder lense.

word of advice. dont skimp on teh pinhole camera. the more expensive ones give sharper and more vibrant video.

The whole helmet cam cost me about 60 bucks and It has taken a thrashing between skiing and mt biking. If question surface, feel free to message me.
