I had a really heavy crash on a steep icy cliff drop and I bent my toe buckle (front one) on my 08 Nordica superchargers. The metal is slightly torn and it is weakened.
It's still functional, but I don't know for how much longer. Maybe 15 days, maybe 15 seasons.
It still cranks up, just not nearly as tight as before.
So I went to get it fixed and they wanted to charge me $60 New Zealand dollars (about $40-$45 USD). I thought this seemed like a lot for what seemed like a $10 part and about 10 minutes labour.
What do you think I should do? I'm a poor ass student so every cent helps.
Here's a picture, first 3 pictures are of broken buckle, bottom two are of the other boot (unbroken) for comparisons sake.

Spark notes: Is $60 to get a broken boot buckle fixed too much when it's still functional(ish)?
