so i'm planning on getting a pair of 2010 Volkl Walls, but i've got a few questions before i take the symmetrical ski plunge cos i'm not sure where to mount mah bindings and if its the right ski for me...
and so you're thinking, its a symmetrical ski with symmetrical sidecut, DUH, centre-mount it. Firstly...
some context:
I live in Australia, most of my skiing's done here (where its mostly lots of groomers and can get icy) and NZ (much better).
50/50 park/all mountain but looking to progress into more park
6" 155 lbs
then...
the question:
will mounting with boot centre dead on the skis centreline be best for what I want and the conditions? or move it back from centre +1 +1.5 or +2 so when i'm carving and putting pressure more forward it'll end up being over the centre of the ski and it'll ski better on the groomers without losing much in the park with swing weight and switch performance?
just a little worried about going all the way to the centre cos i've been riding troublemakers at +3 back from centre (where it feels pretty good to me for 50/50 park/all mtn) and I do still like to carve and go fast when out of the park.
OR should I just go for a different ski for what I want?
thanks!
