i know these are considered to be a good park ski.. but how stiff are they? are they a soft/ buttery ski or a more poppy jumping ski?? thanks for any help!
stop the hate, my 08-09 suspects are still holding up fine and I sure as hell don't baby them, its his decision anyway. the suspects are more on the stiff and poppy side of things, they are butterable, but it takes considerable effort. Their stiffness really pays off with great all-mountain performance and stability for days as well as being the poppiest ski I have ever skied.
friend of mine has a pair and i find them very stiff when compared to my movement joysticks....
on the other side, my joysticks have been buttered so badly thay actually have tip nd tailrocker now, so i'll probably find every other parkski rather stiff...
ya right now i have line anthems (soft) so im looking for a stiffer ski.. i have gone through 2 pairs of line chronics (snapped both) and was looking for another pair of jumping skis.. suggestions?
If you snapped to pairs of chronics I would stay away from Suspects. Sure some pairs last, but quite a few don't. (08/09 anyway, not sure about this years.)It probably just isn't worth the risk when there are so many park skis like it out there. (AR6, Walls, Ace of Spades, etc.) Although I might have to take my own advice as I just bought some Nine Lifes.
Liberty LTE, I've had chronics before and the LTE's destroy them. Such a fun ski with a sick flex pattern. The tips are butterable but the under foot is really stiff. It's crazy if you land a little backseat the ski will spring you back in normal position. My 0.02$
