Using antisemitism, to describe something that specifically against the Zionist movement and not against Jews everywhere, conflates two distinct issues. This overextends what true antisemitism is and thus diminishes its meaning.
ya, lot of people have a hard time understanding the different between the two. i'm not anti-semitic, but i am anti-zionist. i think those people colonizing land that not even their own gov't wants them to have, are kinda fucked up. they do it because they think they are on a mission from god. remember several years back when those orthodox jews barricaded themselves in that synagogue and they had to have the army drag them out? those people. there is a growing rift in israel between regular jews and orthodox jews. a lot of infighting.
A few of the responses in here don't surprise me one bit. Finally this horrible woman is put to rest, she has finally proven that her mouth is bigger than her nose. What a deflated old windbag. Sympathize with Gaza my ass...I don't think you complete morons are antisemitic, I just think you are moonbats who have no fucking clue what you are talking about. I support Israel's right to exist. Once Iran starts escorting ships through the (perfectly legal) blockade, I predict shit will go down, and not like the last time when the "activists" aboard the Mavi Marmara got put in their place by the IDF. For an incredibly level headed look at the situation, read this article by the political genius Charles Krauthammer. As he so succinctly states, "In World War II, with full international legality, the United States
blockaded Germany and Japan. And during the October 1962 missile crisis,
we blockaded ("quarantined") Cuba. Arms-bearing Russian ships headed to
Cuba turned back because the Soviets knew that the U.S. Navy would
either board them or sink them. Yet Israel is accused of international
criminality for doing precisely what John Kennedy did: impose a naval
blockade to prevent a hostile state from acquiring lethal weaponry"
