I work at a casino and i just came across a video from a while back where a woman, at the casino i work at, lost her valet ticket, another person found it, and then that person presented the tag to the valet and drove off in the first womans vehicle. she claims its not a safe system and should be revised. honestly how could we revise it to keep a situation like this from happening? take a picture of every single person who enters and print it on their claim ticket? thats completely ridiculous. it was her fault for not holding onto her valet ticket and she just look like an idiot crying to the news station about it and making the fact that shes an idiot public.

haha yeah. i think that was a trailer park she was in too.

did anyone else notice she said her "new car".....its a 99 and it was only stolen about 2 months ago haha. your about ten year off from being new..

take their keys when they drive up. have them then proceed to a table next to the valet stand where a homeless man in a rabbit costume will paint their face. then have him paint the same picture only smaller on the key. when they come out to get their car, match the key to the facepaint.

dont any of you even try to pretend you would react any differently to this. and besides, like you guys haven't ever lost something small and easy to misplace?
this can easily be related to "dick" cops that over step their jurisdiction that you guys so often whine about, when in reality, you were the one committing the crime and so happened to be caught.

for the record, this is not directed at anyone in particular, just sayin'.

try to relate to this. you're at your local hill, about to take a lodge run. you utilize the ski/board check and get a little badge/card/whatever indicating which skis are yours. your going to blame someone else besides yourself, at least partially. is it an imperfect system? yes. is there any rational way make it safer? no.

the extremely obvious, retardely simple solution to this would have been for the woman, and all other patrons using the valet system, to just hold on to their car keys. then boom. "do you have your valet ticket?"
"why yes, i do"
"and your keys?"
"......" *runs*

if you're driving, you're likely to have your drivers license on you. the valgay should ask for I.D. and write down the drivers name. too hard to handle? fucking valets are pussies. no i.d.? you're own fucking risk, get the fuck out of my casino. eat dick cake.

Actually a VERY valid suggestion by mommy.

Going forward, it would be good practice to ensure the keys are distributed to the correct person, even if a claim ticket is misplaced.

It would be interesting to see if the property is found liable in court though as the women did lose her claim ticket to begin with.

while i would generally agree with most of you on the lack of personal responsibility in society, i'd have to say that someone who accidentally lost their ticket, and got their car stolen, probably has every right to bitch about the shitty service she received. i think any of us here would be livid if not completely devastated, and above all, i work in a parking lot too, and i know, if your car gets stolen or broken into on the lot, it's not the company's fault, but, seriously, you fucked up, and i would definitely probably try a lawsuit or something.

well i'd think its common knowledge to everyone what a valet service is. apparently she didn't think ahead and realize that, "oh this ticket is to get my fucking car back" and didn't hold onto that ticket with her life. like the cops said, it was the FIRST and ONLY time they had someone steal a car using the valet service from the casino. well i guess that says something about that dumb bitch.

cellphone or wallet is a tad different than a piece of paper that is, literally, the key to getting your car back. on top of that it is a piece of paper that you only have to carry around for a select period of time. again, she was the ONLY one to have this happen to. that's saying something and that something isn't anything bad about the casino, but the idiot who got her car jacked from a valet.

I can't believe some of you are ragging on this lady because she is calling her 1999 Durango "new".  The car is new to her.  Why can't she call it her new car?  Yes, she was kinda stupid for losing her valet ticket and complaining that her car got stolen.  But come on, she apparently isn't made of money and her parents don't support her. 

When was the last time some of you had to support yourselves with no help from your parents?  When was the last time you lost something that you worked hard to buy?

yeah i'd be pissed but i wouldn't be blaming the casino or anyone else but myself. but then again i wouldn't be dumb enough to lose a valet ticket. there's no problem with the system and if she had such a problem with it then she should have not been a lazy bitch and parked her own car. she chose to use valet knowing what it was. ignorance is no excuse.

but see there is a problem with the system, just because its not evident or the problem doesnt occure very often, it doesnt mean there is no problem with the system. she is dumb for losing a little piece of paper... thats your opinion ( not mine because I am a normal human being who has accidents and sometimes shit slips out of my pockets and I understand the feelings of losing that something. more than others because I forget everything everywhere) now when I forget things, its my fault, Im a fucking retard and I am very forgetfull. In her case shes to blame for losing a piece of paper. But now losing her car? that could have all been avoided by a simple card check. she has reason to be pissed because a system which is thought to have no problem is actualy very flawed and she is negatively impacted because no one wants to realise this simple fact. If one error occurs in a million years and that error could have been avoided, the system is flawed... there has been a mistake therefore it is not perfect. It like if there was a flaw in the credit card system which made you los all of your money if you pressed a button. for years and years... no problem, then one day a guy presses the button. the system is clearly flawed but now your going to tell me that a stupid flaw like that should stay there because only one guy was stupid enough to press it... come on, its a simple fix remove the button. Just like this is a simple fix, get id cards.

yeah they could upgrade the system but there's no need to. a valet is supposed to make things quicker and easier for the person. that means no keys to worry about, finding a spot or anything. get out of your car, here's your ticket, have fun. just because one idiot fucked up doesn't mean there has to be a change to make a simple system more complex. it defeats the purpose.

simply put, she chose to use the valet knowing how it works. she wasn't forced to use valet but chose to do so anyways. its called fucking liability. do you think its retarded when someone gets hurt on a park jump when they obviously fucked up but still ruin it for everyone by blaming the mountain? its the same deal here.

no its not, it ensures that they build good jumps that I wont fuck up on. I dont think a simple card is more complicated that a ticket. hell its simpler. instead oh having a paper that matches his, you give him your card and ditch, he recognises your face when you get back.
