Shit you need for college?

I'll be a freshman at Penn State in the fall, tell me what I need that I normally wouldn't think of and isn't on the generic list to get for my dorm and college besides skiing stuff because that's obvious. Hopefully this can help me and other incoming freshmen.

Here's some shit from my list
Mini fridge and microwave come with the room
Longboard (commuter and DH) and possibly my single speed bike
French press and travel mug for coffee
MacBook Pro
Portable hard drive
Speakers for laptop
Flat screen tv
Foam bed pad cause college matresses suck
Red cups haha
Small tool bundle

What else should I bring?

loft beds get annoying you'll need a sofa or something cause you won't be able to sit on your bed. Also, I know a girl who broke her wrist cause she fell trying to climb into her bed wasted. Shes really uncoordinated though so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Yea loft beds suck.  I would sleep on my suitemates lofted bed when he wasn't there (bc I hated my roommate, complicated story haha) and our ceiling have this white paint spackle thing i guess, and when I woke up, my hair is all white and dirty and the heat on top of the bed is soooo hot you sweat your balls off

Next semester I'm lofting my bed half way so I can put my fridge under it (well not really half more like a little more than standard)

OH! my dorm room next year is having a stripper pole in the common room.....

also first weekend, we are hiring two strippers to jell-o wrestle....its 400 dollars and 20 of us are splitting it.....

i just finished m freshman year and i cant think of shit? i think i did to many drugs......dryer sheets, a fridge, computer, and dont be the jackass with really loud speakers playing shitty rap 24/7, oh and dont smoke in your room if its right next to the ra's they trend to not like that

Just finished freshman year myself, and here are some VERY key things to bring that most people don't think of:
-bed risers (they fit under each leg of your bed and raise it up a few inches). Makes your bed optimal height for screwing, and gives you wayy more storage space.
-Under-the-bed boxes. For storing shit under your bed
-Hangers, lots of em. If you have a closet, you will need them.
-Clothes line (a strong rope). You can rig it up in your room and save lots of money on dryers, and never shrink a tall-t again. Also, all the hangers you have will allow you to hang way more shirts at once.
-A hot-pot for making mac and cheese.
-A desk lamp if you don't already have one.
-A pillow. Your room may come with one, but it sucks and is only good to shove between your bed and the wall to sound-proof it during sex.
-A basket to put all your shit in to bring to the shower with you.
-Sandals for the shower.
-Headphones/earplugs
-2 sets of sheets. Because, you never know when a surprise booty-call comes your way and you need to change those sheets in less time than it takes to wash and dry them.
-Cups for drinking
-Plate/bowl/cutlery
-Tupperware boxes and ziploc bags, for stealing from the cafeteria
-A frisbee or football
-Book shelf end things (the shit that holds up your books)

That should give you a good idea

go to a local carpet store, and ask them for some carpet squares that they're gonna be tossing. then use theses carpet squares to fully carpet your room.

your roommate will love this, and you don't have to wear shoes or socks in the room.

But seriously, in dorms, it will keep you from getting caught and keep you blazed. Check out the magic flute...100 bucks and its tiny, like as small as a two chapsticks.

i used to get so high freshman year from my friend's volcano! it's gold because you never get caught. we hooked up this tube to blow the smoke out the window and we all used to take a hit and wait in line to blow it out, which obviously made us even higher holding a vape hit in for like 30 seconds. my dorm was so strict so we had to take all the precautions

OK, so my family has a weird last name, not my last name but the rest of my family. So I decided to do a facebook search one night with the last name. Found my uncle, and then like 300 people from Germany, and one girl that went to my college. I sent her a message asking her parents and grandparents name etc.......we weren't sure if we were related, bc I didn't know her parents.

She comes over to meet me, and she comes with her friend from her fb picture. I wasn't sure which was which, and I thought damn that friend is hot. Turns out thats the one related to me. And we figured out she is my 5th cousin. Before I knew she was related to me, I was drunk and I said I'd hook up with her. FML.

Then my suitemmate invites her over to celebrate my birthday. It's my birthday so we all drink, play pong, other people come over, a good time. I then go outside to smoke a cigar, because hey its my bday!

I was outside for maybe 10 minutes, come back in, and my suitemmates door is closed and my cousin is moaning extremely loud, louder than I have ever heard a girl moan. I was livid. I wrote a huge note to my suitemmate and hung it up on our wall. (Mind you I was pretty drunk at this point, the note seemed like a good idea). My friend asked me why I was mad, and I said because John is hooking up with my cousin. My friend goes what are you jealous? Then I realized, WTF!!!!!!

An hour later John (my suitemmate) comes back in my room and says "Hey, just so you know, we didn't have sex, she's allergic to latex"

Later I find out, yeah, he had sex with her, he raw dawgs everyone, and he came a little blood with her. And now she is a lesbian.

^Yeah the ending doesn't have much detail, but not much detail is needed describing his ejaculation.

I'm older than you btw. This ns list isn't going to help you that much, if you really couldn't think of shit you needed google yourself a list. Get some walmart gift cards and get that shit. You're still going to forget shit, and end up needing more stuff.

Best bet get everything you think you need, bring a couple gift cards and in the first week or so get the shit that you need that you didn't no you would need now that you know you need that which you didn't no you would need.

I'm pretty could about packing up the car with everything I need to go anywhere. The lord jesus blessed me with that skill i guess. JK but it's really not that complicated. Just because it's the first time you're living away from home. It's probably more the excitement and less the fact that you're incapable of finding out what you should bring

and i wish i was good at packing. no matter how much i try there's always that one thing i realize i forgot when im halfway there. i figured NS would help me cover some of the stuff that your typical checklist wouldn't, (ie. condoms, i would hate to miss a prime opportunity during O Week because i forgot to come equipped)

This proves my statement. Whether you are or aren't incapable of the list is irrelevant at this point, but this post people about your excitement for college, i think so.

You can't buy a rubber from a vending machine, a pack of them from the store, snag one from a roomate friend or stranger or her, or just raw dog it? Plus some colleges actually give students free condoms.

shower accessories (especially shower shoes for nasty foot fungus potential in public showers where kids puke and piss)
printer
just bring one longboard unless you're REALLY into it.
bring bike only if theres a lock room for it or somewhere secure to store it
spiral notebooks
LOTS of clothes..pack what you think is good, and then bring twice as much.
also pack for all weather scenarios and season changes.
mattress pad is key
extra sheets
laundry accessories (bag for dirty clothes is better than a basket), and detergent
lots of shoes for all different purposes
dress clothes if classes call for presentations
DONT bring your skis until its winter , itll just clog up your room even though it might look cool
headphones
lube

One thing I did forget to bring to college was cable to hook from the cable box to my tv. I went home and got it 2 weeks into school. Also, a usb printer cable. Who knew the free printer that came with my mac dind't come with a usb cord!

Also, take a nice pair of clothes like a button down shirt tie slacks suit if you have one, something, you never know if you need it for something, even if its just once, you'll be glad you had it!

Also, lots of tooth brushes. I would always be dropping one or something, I went through them quick (maybe you won't, but it's not a bad idea to have some)

And the most important thing (besides you know, condoms, booze, that kind of stuff that everyone packs first) is a med kit. Get a small little pouch or box and stock it with tylenol, ib profen, sudafed, (spellings off idc) nyquil, cough drops, etc. Why? Sickness spreads very quick in dorm life. Very quick. At my college they stopped 'officially' testing for Swine flu because they didn't want the media to worry, but I had it, along with around 500-600 other freshmen out of 2500 freshmen on campus. All together I heard anywhere between 1500-3000 had it out of 18k on my campus.
