Shit you need for college?

I'll be a freshman at Penn State in the fall, tell me what I need that I normally wouldn't think of and isn't on the generic list to get for my dorm and college besides skiing stuff because that's obvious. Hopefully this can help me and other incoming freshmen.

Here's some shit from my list
Mini fridge and microwave come with the room
Longboard (commuter and DH) and possibly my single speed bike
French press and travel mug for coffee
MacBook Pro
Portable hard drive
Speakers for laptop
Flat screen tv
Foam bed pad cause college matresses suck
Red cups haha
Small tool bundle

What else should I bring?

everyone i've seen bring a bike to school ends up majorly inconvenienced by it.

remember scissors, pens, and tape. 2 years in a row now i've noticed damn near everyone forgets at least the scissors and tape. They all remember to bring posters and shit, but never anything to put them up.

Keep em coming, this is working out nicely.

And I'm thinking no on the bike. I figure if it's nice I'll longboard and if not I'll take the shuttle. It's about 2 miles from my dorm to where most of my classes are going to be so walking isn't really an option.

get a trashcan large enough to fit a midget cause you'l be throwing out a shitload of stuff and you don't want to have to empty it every half day.....

also get a massive trashcan, not one of those mesh trashcans, cause if you've partied a little much and you throw up in your trashcan, you don't want vomit to simply percolate through ....

Some colleges have bike lockers you can lock up in so you don't have to take em up into your dorm.  I would go for it if class is two miles every day.  That's just the distance where it's a bitch to walk, too short to wait for a bus but not shit if you've got a bike.

Sandals for showers
A couple towels
like 20 dollars of rolled up quarters for laundry
laundry detergent and fabric softener
Aspire/Tylenol whatever
Multivitamins
Shower/Shaving kit
Printer
Thumb tacks / push pins
lots of socks and underwear

Probably a lot more things that I can't remember, but the college you are attending should send you a pamphlet that will give you more ideas.

P.S. Just took my last final of undergrad this morning, shit you need for the real world?

Listen to this guy. Make sure you get a big one, and make sure you put a plastic bag in it. Nothing worse than waking up in the morning and having to clean puke out with your hands.

Oh, and to the kid talking about the bike lockers, I would be required to lock it up outside, but the busses come by super fast plus I'll have my longboard so I don't really see the need for one.

Lots of beer. Maybe some coke for those long nights staying up studying. An xbox 360 and modern warfare 2 and skate 1,2, and 3 to suck up whatever down time you have before class or a party. Soap on a rope, just cause you never know when the creepy kid down the hall is in the showers. Collared shirts with pre-popped collars basically anything from American eagle.

also, bring a rug or something for the floor.

and your skis. because there are some SICK rails at penn state you will wanna hit.

So far my list sits at:
Skateboard (I suck, but w/e I can learn).
Possibly a keyboard/synth of some kind.
Macbook.
Portable hard drive.
Ski gear.
Minifridge.
Harmonica.

My parents are driving me out, so we'll just take a ton of stuff, and anything that doesn't fit in will go home.

Also thinking of getting a loft bed instead, to have more space... Thoughts anyone?
