Ramen vs Cambels

so basically everybody here loves ramen, its quick, easy, cheap, and fucking awesome. but what happened to cambels soup at hand. i mean, you can get up and make it in the morning right before you head to the local spot, it stays warm, you can throw it in your cup holder, it all works.

Ramen is a meal of salt. I don't know how people eat that for the majority of their meals for the day.

i eat ramen because i am broke and it only costs 0.39 a pack. it's not so bad if you add veggies to it and other things.

Do you know how much a box of pasta and a jar of pasta sauce is? It's like 2.50 for both. That right there is like 5 meals. Lazy I understand, broke just isn't a good excuse.

I just spent 5 months spending only 60 euros on food per month. It's possible, it's cheap and it's good. In comparison my fellow students spent approximately 120-220e a month..per person. Jesus.

My point was that I cooked everything myself, always one large set for like 3-5 days. So it wasn't even lazy. Those ramen won't keep your hunger away and thus become costly.

Your better off just buying a huge bag of rice, some beans, and whatever is fresh and cheap.
It ends up being cheaper/better for you.

Better yet, just take a day off each month and cook 30 pounds of rice, 10 pounds of beans, tomatoes, cheese and 10 pounds of meat. Only drawback is that you have to eat chili every day thereafter... wait, is that a drawback?

but the cup of soup is a lot easier to take with you and it tastes a bit better. i think it might be worth the extra 1.50

ramens are the shit, you can eat the mun cooked and they are ok, as for campbell's if eat them raw you can never do it again

no. the easy mac single serve things are like $4 for 6 and take a while to prepare. they are also tiny and not filling (while still delicious)

i eat raw ramen all the time and have for years. i know a couple other people who do it too.

all of you saying ramen isn't portable are wrong. 1)while ramen is still in bag and unopened you break ramen into small pieces. 2) open bag on one end. 3) remove flavoring packet and dump contents of packet on ramen. 4) give ramen a little shake to spread flavoring packet. 5) enjoy your wonderfully delicious raw ramen in a bag for eating on the go.

Whoa whoa whoa.

You get 5 meals out of a box of pasta and a jar of sauce? Fuck. I get 2 meals out of that much, tops.

One thing I don't mind spending a little extra on is food, it's so much better to eat good food. I eat ramen occasionally, but that's usually when I'm stoned, even then I usually drop an egg in it and throw some vegetables in dur. Well, I don't actually spend a little extra on food, I spend quite a lot of it, but it is so worth it.
