Replying to Grad present problems

So now that the grad presents are slowly trickling in I have run into a few problems.

First, my GF's parents got me a really nice mini fridge, that I cant use because my college already has them (along with Microwaves) in the dorms, and I cant swap them out. They have offered to either get me something else or give me cash, but I am getting enough and I know I wont be able to save it so I would rather get something that will actually help next year.

Second, my parents want to get me a flat screen TV, but as with the fridge, there is already one in my room, and thus I don't need it.

So what are some good alternatives to these two gifts?
