whats up with so much hate these days? we got arrogant americans... hating canadians, afghans, chinese, japanese,iraqis,and most recently, jews. it doesnt end there though. we got racists,homophiobic people, and anarchists. after this on the list we have skiers hating snowboarders, ski boarders, and inline skaters. next there are skateboarders hating on inline skaters and bmxers. Pretty much everyone hates the police. raise your hand if you hate bush. point being.... there is way too much hate these days. i cant say im innocent because i hate bush and a decent amount of ski boarders. but the point remains.... way too much hate. i think everybody should just chill the fuck out and the world would be a much better place.

ya, that would be great, but unfortunately it would never happen. as long as there are people, there will be hate in the world. kind of a sad reality, but it's still a reality. the way I see it, all you can do is to change the way you view the world, and try to decrease hatred in your own environment, so that your life is easier and more meaningful.

i guess i am unable to accept the word 'impossible.' everything is possible. who believed da vacini's idea of a plane would ever work? few thousand years later BAM you got the wright brothers. look at us now.. flying out of this world even. how about christopher columbus? the world was flat up until he sailed that ocean blue. now the world is round. all im saying is that there is doubt but i truly believe nothing is impossible. it just needs four things. courage, desire,cooperation, and determination.

I admire you(in a non homosexual way of admiring anyone)because you still have faith and hope,just like if you never watched the news(like we used to be when we were kids)but now,you just have to accpet that Humans are driven by desire.This desire is surrounded by feelings and emotions(as i said before)and then hate pops out of nowhere.It's easy to understand it.
Hate is there,has been there,and will be there for as long as we, humans ,live.

but you'll always have to deal with the people who don't acknowledge the need for change and don't want to make the effort. you're right, people are capable of change, but only if they really want to. if they adopt it as something they want to aspire to, then ya, they probably could eliminate hate from their lives. but what about the others? we've seen so many times throughout history that it only takes one person filled with hate to turn a bad situation into a nightmare. hitler, saddam etc. there will always be people who genuinely wont accept the need for change. maybe we could slowly phase it out, over the span of many generations, but 10-20 years? it's just not possible.

But,who wants to aspire to not hating?everyone,every single human being on earth has at some point hated something or someone.I don't think we will never reach a point of Earth and fellow human beings like me be unhated.It's just not possible.
Prosperity is not possible either.If prosperity is not where it needs to be,then goes another cycle of hatred and furious anger towards other fellow humans being accused of not helping each other.Hate,is everywhere,and we all know it.Let's just give up on this,let's try to save the panda bears,but hey,if we do that,we might get hated at by some illegal hunters!

i agree that there are many peopl who are just naturally full of hate. there is no easy solution to this. i think if somehow everybody could see the same world we have now without hate.... that would be more then enough to encourage an end to hate. maybe i was a little off on the couple of decade thing. but as you said yourself, its possible over generations. nobody is starting it now... so why not start with us? there needs to be a start. im not into the whole hippie and flower power stuff... i just see a need for change. if you dont think its possible, why not just try harder? win win situation.. prove yourself right... (unfortuantly) your happy. prove yourself wrong.... your happy.

there is also love everywhere. As hard as it is to look for the good in people and the things they do it's somewhere in there. No person is completely evil. They might be full of hate, but I refuse to believe that they cannot change. I do believe though, that as long as people are around, they are going to remain selfish, and that is the true root of hate. Maybe it's silly to think that the world can be in peace, but that doesn't stop me from believing that we can make the world a better place to live in.

but think about it, over a course of say 200 years or so, what if the people who recognized the need for change really made a concious effort in their lives to eliminate hate for others. i'm not talking being jealous or annoyed at people, i'm talking about true, pure hatred (which I believe is not something that is very common, it's just another word that is overused). maybe eventually society could change the way we opperate, and change the environments that let people breed hatred for others. it's insanely far fetched, because it would take such a huge effort from so many people, and lets face it, if this idea was ever seriously put forth, there would be a huge ammount of people saying it was a waste of time, accusing whoever brought it to the table of diverting attention from 'real' issues, so I guess your right. we as human beings have become too cynical for anything like this to ever work.

who said anything about prosperity? it woudl be great for peace AND prosperity but for now im focused on peace. as long as there is peace, people will be happier. prosperity will come easier. if there is not prosperity, the people will at least be happy. it may be a dream but look what happened with martin luther king jr.... just imagine NO hate at all for a second. very hard to do i admit but once you get there... its great. no bombs no need for guns other then shotguns for hunting. free to roam any street... no fears. where whatever say whatever do whatever.... all as long as its not hateful. paradise

ya, but if you seriously proposed to the world that everyone should make a concious effort to eliminate hate in their lives, you would get alot of resistance. I mean look at the reactions you've already had. the first reply was 'stfu you pussy'. its just human nature to be cynical about things, every really good thing is deemed 'too good to be true' at first. even if the majority of people did agree with you, that it was a worthy cause, the majority of THOSE people would abondon the idea pretty quickly because they believed it impossible.

martin luther king jr did an amazing thing, no doubt about it, and changed the world dramatically. eliminating ALL hatred from the entire world? i mean look how hard it was to convince people that blacks deserve equal rights, look how much resistance that idea got. granted it also got a hell of alot of support. also, giving balcks equal rights didn't go against human nature, that's why it was possible.

well, hatred for the west (the US mainly) is set deep in society throughout the middle east, so ya, that would be really hard. but it's not just the middle east that would pose a problem, all over the world, pure hatred is evident. you cuold argue that it is not neccesarily in human nature to hate, that people could truly eliminate hatred for others if they made enough of an effort. but the problem would be to get everyone to make that effort in the first place, that's why it wouldn't work. people are skeptical and cynical by nature. a change like this requires a huge ammount of faith in human beings. and we've gotten to the point where the majority of people would never put that much faith in the human race. ever since humans began to exist there has been hate, war, and suffering. after all of this, the majority of people have basically lost faith in human beings in general. personnally, i believe that everyone is still a good person, if not on the surface, then potentionally. but there are too many people who don't believe that. because of them, the amount of real support needed for a change like this could never be generated.

humans have emotions, whether its hate, love or the desire to fuck someone up the ass, they will always be there. I dont think that you can have some emotions and not others. you can try to supress your emotions, but they are still there, and you can't expect an entire world to supress hate. People will do things that they think are right, but if you strongly disagree with them, theres a good chance you will end up hating them. Its nice to think about a world with no hate, but that would be inhuman. You might as well have a world with robots. An encouraging thought from Gandhi is that throughout all of history, even when it seemed like evil and hatred would overcome, good has prevailed.

I am with VTskibum. You cant just eliminate one of the most basic human emotions just because you dont like it. It is instinct. Think about it. I dont like anger, but just because I dont like anger doesnt mean that if someone comes over and hits me in the nuts I wont feel angry. You cant have Love without hate. It is a necessary thing to bring balance to life.
