Speaker Pads for Variant?

I was wondering about the replacement earpads that double as speakers. Heard about em awhile ago, thought they were way more than they actually are. So I want some haha.

Just wanted to know if they made it for the Smith Variant (I'll make a thread in Buy/Sell after this thread dies to find em. Skullcandy Tune-ups is the one I heard of).
It's just a quick swap-out to put them in, right?

Lastly, I guess some have Bluetooth compatibility and others are just a cable that plugs to the speakers and to the music player with a remote built into the cable? Are the Bluetooth ones worth it or is it just a hassle? I'd be using it with my Moto Droid so would that work (don't play with BT on it, just everything else)

NOPE sorry bud, they only make them for GIRO helmets. Skull candy partnered with Giro like 5 years ago and have been exclusive ever since, you might be able to stick them in there but I doubt it... pretty sure giro only.

Might want to just use a friends and see if they fit in there, but yeah just replace the ear warmers.

Alright, is there any other system from a diff brand that would fit into the smith? Was looking at the variant in that thread but decided I'd look into the Tune Ups cuz i had no idea what they were and thought they might work interchangably.

first of, your an idiot, dont post unless you know what your talking about

second, OP, please do your research before making a thread, google has all the answers you need, I don't think you even went to the smith site to look for them

third, smith doesnt seem to make replacement speaker pads for the variant, only the holt/hustle, but you can just buy the helmet again with them built in, but they cost quite a bit

You know.. actually I didn't even think to go to the website.. read a thread after I Googled it on TGR, a review thread that cut out short, and then went to the shopping results and saw a pair on Ebay and read the descrip then went to another online store and saw they built in like you were saying. Just wasn't sure if it was an option to pick them up separately because, yes, they were a little pricy. $150 I think they were.

I guess I'll just clarify then....

When I said that, I meant that those were the ones I had initially heard of that sparked my interest and were (in the case I'd heard) been used with the Smith Holt. I hadn't discovered if they could work for the Variant so I was using this thread to find out because, stupidly, I hadn't thought to look at the website.

I apologize for placing that qualifier showing that the Tune Ups were the ones I had initially seen badly. It did make me sound like I was looking to use those 2 items specifically together but I was looking for anything that would be cross-compatible.
I was basing all of my info (remotes/BT etc) off the skullcandys because those were the ones I knew the name of to search. So I assumed that most other models would have similar features but with different integration.
