First of all, I'm looking for a new helmet for next year. It will be my second year for freestyle and i don't want something too nice or flashy. I ski the east so I don't really recreational ski too often. I would prefer not to have one of those goggle straps on the back. And my second question is for you east coasters. I have a fire lens and a persimmon lens for my crowbars. Do you recommend anything lighter? I don't night ski too much, but I'm having more and more trouble with flat light.
Oh and I skied with a Black Irid all year this year in Michigan, and was never really bothered by the lower light situations. I even skied night almost every time with it. I just learned to deal with it. But then I got a VR50 Emerald Irid in my splices this year and I think that will be the perfect all around lense.
i ride connecticut and fire is fine for the day. if you do happen to be out at night just dont wear goggles. its not unbearable given that you arent in an extremely cold place at nite
oakley hi yellow is the bee's knee's i used it all season in my crowbars and it was only bad when it was the last day of the season and like 50 degrees and super sunny (pink intensity is sick too) and i just bought a cheap red trace 2 cause it was on sale at sports authority and it works great. hope that helps
