Gear Suggestions... 1st pair of twintips

Hey guys I'm looking at getting a completely new setup for next session and wanted some other opinions because I have never bought ski gear before, I have always rented.
A little background, I have been skiing for 10 years (2 in the park), I ski southern NJ so no powder or insanely large jumps, I weigh 130 pounds. I am 5' 5" as of right now, I'll probably be 5' 7" by winter. I am decent at park the biggest jump at my mountain is 55' stepdown and I have hit it. My rail game is bad but I can do most rails that aren't curved or kinked.
I am looking for a good 100% park ski. I'm looking at Afterbangs and Amplid Antidogmas. I have no idea what to look for in bindings or boots. I will see a boot fitter but some suggestions for boots would help. It would be great if you guys could suggest ski, bindings, and boots. Price is a factor to. Nothing to expensive because I'm working for all my gear and there aren't many jobs for 14 year old's except babysitting ext. Also what size of ski should I be looking at, my rental gear this year was 146's but I don't know how good the people who match you with rentals are.
I realize that this is a huge post and I would really appreciate legit help.

Also in order to not create another thread I was wondering how much of a difference going from the setup I have rented this year (pics below) to gear that meant for park. Besides the obvious ability to ride switch, which is impossible on my current skis, what else will I notice a difference in? For instance I find it really hard to pop onto high rails and to spin. Will getting near center or center mounted twin tips help my rotation? I could spin 180 off of small jumps but lost all my momentum trying to bring them around to a 3. Landed switch and usually ate shit. Might be a stupid question but I don't know because I have never skied park skis before.

For boots- go to a bootfitte rlike you said they will help determin the correct boot for you based on your size and foot shape

For skis and bindings go onto http://www.d-structureqc.com/store/ and find a pair of skis around 171- 174 caus ea little longer of a ski is nice to have since it will allow you to hit larger features with more confidence. also the reason i told you to go to D-structure is because they have a sick deal goin on right now that will allow you to buy a pair of skis for cheap and get free bindings with them. i suggest looking at the J.O pro, its a killer deal. the only downside of These skis are that they suck at rails

They look legit, I saw that thread with the deals earlier. I'm not going to really look into them because you said they suck at rails and I'm skiing east coast so there aren't any really big jumps and its mostly rails. Also I've been wondering how can you tell if a pair of bindings will fit your skis, do you match the number on the binding to the middle number of the ski dimensions. ( xx/84/yy? )

It depends.

If you detune them they are the best all around ski. (In my opinion)

Mine are sick as fuck on rails. I learned 450s on and 270s out on JO pros. They're truly a great all around ski.

Oh yea just to mention I am planning on having around $1300 by the end of the summer to spend on ski gear. I have some saved now and with a job + babysitting and other shit I think that's a reasonable amount I can come up with. So that will need to be divided between skis, boots, bindings, and poles. I would also like to have some left over for other stuff but my priority is skiing.

so youre used to a 146cm rental ski (probably somewhat soft and definitely not close to a park ski), you have to pay for the new setup yourself, you think you will be about 5'7" by ski season, and are just beginning park?

well it seems you will be looking for a pricepoint ski that will do mostly park and some all mountain and i would suggest a ski 165-170ish in length or similar in length as your height... and yes, the extra length will take most of your first day to get used to from your 146's.

ski suggestions:
line anthem
line afterbang
k2 silencer
k2 EXT
rossignol s2

bindings:
look/dynastar px12 or rossignol axial2 120 (both are the same 3.5-12 din binding and can be found for $120 or less)

and please, if you are just getting into skiing, do not say you are an advanced rider when getting your bindings set up. you dont want to fuck up your knees now and end up not wanting to ski.

^Good post. The armada El Ray could be a good price point ski for a begginer aswell. Honestly the Silencers might be the best option. They are really good on rails and will be good enough for jumps for a begginner. Also, usually K2's make bomb proof skis so they could last you for at least 2 years most likely. As for lenght, I would say go around 166-170.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm not just getting into skiing, I've been skiing for 10 years. I am just starting park though. I prefer to have a low din and have prerelease more than knee trouble. My knee are already a little bad from skiing park with the wrong gear. How much of a difference do you think it will make coming from non-park ski to park skis?

A decent amount, but you have to try. I know everyone says "Don't do everything that pros do" and whatnot, but watch some ski videos, talk to some people in your park and Look at what they do and then try to do it.

get some 171 anthems, you can get this year (last production year) for dirt cheap.

for bindings, px12 jib's will work fine for you, like someone said earlier you can find them for 120 bucks online...

------------>  save the most money you can for boots. you definitely don't want to skimp out on them, because they will make or break your park/skiing in general experience.  invest some good money in boots, and go to a professional boot fitter who can fit you up well.  seeing as you are still growing, get some super-feet instead of custom foot beds, but you could grab some intuition liners which can be molded several times.  hope this helps!

this is a quality post everything in it is fully correct for what you're looking for. for boots just go to a bootfitter and they will tell you everything you need to know in that department. i would add one ski to this list, the nordica dead money. i skied next year's model recently and for a beginner park skier they would work perfectly. i believe they come in a 170 cm size which would be perfect for you.

Get a smaller size than you would get normal skis. For me, when I stepped up to a normal size my back end was a little fishy, but you eventually would get used to it. Try to get a light, small ski with a good turning radius and something that isn't bigger than maybe 85 underfoot.

Thanks everyone you've been a huge help. Just one more question, what are the advantages of center mounted skis and would you suggest getting them mounted that way or have them mounted back. And if so by how much. Of course I'm going to talk about this with the store that mounts my skies but just so I have a general idea.

If you're going to only ski park you are better off with center mounted for a couple reasons. It will be easyer to balance on rails as you will be dead center on the rail. It's also easyer to navigate switch with your skis mounted center. But it is doable to ski park with skis that aren't center mounted it's not that big of a deal, some people are used to ski park with skis that aren't center mounted. If you buy symmetrical skis make sure to have them center mounted though.

you should spend wayy more than you think on boots. like at least 350 bucks for a solid, good-fitting pair, and get some custom insoles for them. seriously, best investment you can make.
good fitting boots are so key.

Yea I plan to spend whatever I need to get a decent boot, hopefully my parents will help me out if I run out of cash for a quality boot.

I would go with center mounted
your skis will ride the same backwards as forwards (even better if you have 100% symetrical skis(I love my afterbangs))
