The Sierra Club and Tulalip tribes both filed appeals against the bike park on May 27th. The Tulalip tribe has not yet released its conflict. But the Sierra Club is saying that the proposed plan does "not address effects to wildlife reliant on the area, such as wolverine”. The Sierra Club unfortunately has the money and resources to bring the case to supreme court which could shut down the entire project down. The bike park is now for sure not going to happen this summer which is nice to hear.
The USFS has already approved the plan which is all you really need. The Tulalip Tribe and Sierra Club are just putting their noses in places they don't need to be and are making a huge deal out of nothing. Seriously this is bullshit, please write an email to The Sierra Club, http://www.sierraclub.org/, and boycott the Tulalip Casino.
