Im going to DU next year and dont really know anyone. looking for some skiers in the area or that go to du who ride at keystone or A basin to ride with this winter.
that's bullshit. if you live in the JMac dorms, all you have to do is walk down the hall the night before you want to go and anounce you're going to the mountains and 5 people will run out of their rooms and start talking to you about shredding gnar.
Finding people to ride with TO the mountain is easy, finding good people to ride with ON the mountain is difficult.
You'll probably become disillusioned with Scummit County after a year or too though. Go to Crested Butte, Telluride or Silverton with the Alpine Club and ski with some super fun, good riders in the sickest lift served terrain in Colorado. Or don't. Your choice.
I'll be a senior at DU this coming year. I've managed to ride 100+ days every season so I can't believe it'll be that hard to find people to ride with. If all else fails you can always join the alpine club.
Hit me up if you have any questions or just want to meet some homies
Nick. I'm in your grade but I transferred to CSU this year. I was just wondering if I knew you. I used to be an officer in the Alpine Club w/ Jon(rondonee_urban) who used to be the President of it.
haha nice Jon! this sums it up. For sure try and do one of those trips with the Alpine Club, I just graduated and never really went on one of the trips, not sure why. I guess I have one more chance this year cause I'm going to grad school! or maybe you can't be in the Alpine Club if you are in grad school? Damn. Anywho, you can find kids to ride with at DU, don't stress.
