i have a british friend who moved here a few months ago he does it all the time on fb and shit it means " with much love" or hugs and kisses but its not gay and evryone does it over there

Yea man I used to live in england so I have a bunch of them on facebook. It's so annoying they put them after everything they write. It started off as a sign of affection, but it just kinda morphed into standard protocol for talking online, it's offensive if they don't put it.

x = kiss

Basically:

1. one x (i.e. 'x') = i love you (can be to guy or girl, no homo)

2. two x (i.e. 'xx') = i love you (little more love - maybe for a parent)

3. three x (i.e. 'xxx') = i love u (lots more love i.e. for your gf)

4. lots and lots of x (i.e. 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx') is the same as for part 1 (no homo)

5. an O is a hug.
