Depends what type you get, but in Ontario it ranges from 2,700 to 4,400 and we have sky high prices for alcohol.

well if you want to be a man, there really is only one truly acceptable drink. scotch. neat.

get a bottle of Glendronach 25 or Ardbeg. there are a few cask strength Glen Garioch bottles that will knock you to the floor.

or, just get a bottle of glenfiddich or glenlivet 12, as thats probably what you can afford, and they are great introductions to the scotch world.

if you want a blend, as mentioned before Johnnie Walker is a great option, black is probably in your price range, but green and gold are great too, blue if you can afford it. most people tend to like the black and green straight, and red for mixing.

whiskey, Jack Daniels Single Barrel gets great reviews, and is a solid drink. if you can get a bottle where you are, Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey is amazing, but overpriced at 55 a bottle in colorado, so I don't know how much it is out of state.

or just sack up and save yourself some money and buy some Wild Turkey 101.

you are the first person to make sense in this thread really so far.

If you are a man, you should get some Whiskey, Scotch, or Bourbon.



I always dislike it when people don't give a solid price point. to me cheap is 25-30 a handle, moderate is up to 30-50 a bottle, and then expensive would top 100 a bottle, ex. Blue Label.


Patron, in My opinion is over priced, over rated flulf, ust like all the other spirits that rappers endorse. I have an unopened bottle sitting in my room right now, next to my almost gone bottle of Jack and a nice bottle of Bourbon my father bought me.

if you are looking for something that says I know how to drink but can't take a full hit of neat scotch, then maybe try some gin, New Amsterdam is a reasonable bottle at $25 a handle and it is a decent gin that mixes well but also you can shoot it straight pretty easily. It has a nice juniper finish for the gin that it is.

If you want to be adventurous and try something I really want to try but haven't found it yet, try Dead Guy's Whiskey, it's only aged 30 days in a barrel adrift at sea, but it supposed to be a very good whiskey for their first endeavor into the genre.

It seems that you're younger so I don't think spending that much on a good bottle of booze will be overly helpful, just get Fucked up on some Canadian Club and be happy your having fun.


This is all the advice of a young guy that was brought up by old guys so what I say may mean nothing to you, like art, drinking is about finding what you like personally and going for it. I personally Love Whiskey, Scotch, Bourbon, Gin, and Tequila, but I still think Patron is overrated.

My bottle of Whiskey currently is a full size bottle of Wiser's (not too bad) and I have one of those small hip bottles of Johnnie Walker Black too. Will try the Pendleton though.


My dad has a 200 dollar bottle of Scotch from a friend sitting in our liquor cabinet at home that has had maybe 3 drinks taken out of it in 4 years. I, must, TRY!

don't mistake that as me not liking it, I say Canadian Club because it's my standard whiskey of choice. I don't have the budget as a college kid to buy good liquor all the time. I love Canadian Club and go through at least 8 handles of it during football season.



and yes, I like 1800 way better then patron also.

In college I have discovered that it is almost cheaper to buy those gift box things that come with shotglasses or snifters than to get the straight up bottle that is a little bigger. (Which is why I have a bottle of Wiser's right now)
