Mac adobe flash player helppppp

i just got a mac from my grandpa. and every time i come on here to watch a video it tells me to get the latest adobe flash player update so i go download it then come back to watch the video and it says the same thing again. iv tried over 15 times and it wont work. has anyone had the same problem that could help me out. +kkk
