LDC vs First Drop

I was thinking of getting either of these two next year i know a lot about first drop but almost nothing about LDC other than that their stuff looks pretty cool please give me some info (Pros, Cons)

If you want next years this first part doesn't apply
The magnets have a real hard time staying in place so the pockets easily flap open. But next year they are using snaps by the looks of it so there that problem goes.

Waterproofing wise my suit worked great after 2 months of using it skied a day in some EC wet snow rain mix shit and didn't get wet at all and their outerwear was only 10k this year.... 20k next year.

durability my suit besides the magnets held up really well only minor scrapes at the bottom of the pants from me not rolling them up and my edges hitting them besides that nothing

So overall id say LDC makes a very good quality product and would definitely recommend them.

i very much reccomend ldc, the fabric feels much better and durable than first drop (first drop has that sort of sleeping bag feeling if you know what i mean. and ldc feels more like jeans in a way.)

its your call, ldc and first drop's lines for next year are both so sick, although i love ldc, i would get a fd jacket cuase they can turn into vests.

LDC is super sick. I could not be more stoke with the quality of my suit. The owners also seem like legit guys and I heard they're in college so its cool that we get to help them out by buying their stuff.

LDC>FD

next year both will be "20k/20"(2 layer so it wont really be that waterproof...) but FD had some really bad stitching problems this year, and their stuff just looks retarded, its to big. at least LDC is not overly baggy

Didn't everybody swear by saga for years now on how its so waterproof bla bla bla? it been a 2 layer for all those years its just next year where it is a 3 layer. So maybe first drop fixed everything? who knows. maybe they changed the fit to.

I was really happy with my LDC this year. The fabric is nice and tough.

The stiching on the FD this year was horrible, they will most likely fix that problem but I wouldn't know, I know LDC is some pretty solid quality.

So i was looking at 2011 fd and ldc and to choose which one i wanted to know if ldc had good breathability/ventilation
I know that fd has a shit load of venting on their stuff and they even have zip off sleeves
I like how ldc looks but i dont want to be burning hot during spring skiing

LDC is going to have better overall breathability, FD is insulated.

yeah id say he ventilation was pretty good on my suit. I would wear pajama pants under my pants on hot days and be very confortable....
Jacket wise just wear a tee and ull be fine and if thats to hot take the jacket off...haha

One final question:
I am roughly 5 foot 4
L is the smallest size LDC comes in
The inseam on the L Pants are 31''
The length is 32''
And it says the length from the shoulder to the end of the sleeve is 36''


Is that a typo or are their sleeves just super long?
Also do you think that it will fit me (I like stuff pretty tall(just above the knees for a jacket))

then large should fit you where you want it then....
the xl was 4 inches taller and im 5'9 and i was like 2 inches or so above my knees so ull be prefect

LDC is as legit as it gets.  The products are super quality and they've been showing constant improvement.  I've got both a pair of pants and a jacket (jacket from last year, pants from the year before that) and have had no problems with either.  Super dope, comfy, warm, and water resistant.

find me where it says the stuff is insulated, it has a medium weight liner, maybe with a few patches of fleece on it like anyone else who makes a coat like this, but there is no down, no prima loft, no insulation mentioned. and if you spend money on insulation, you are going to list it on the specs.

the best insulation you can have is from what you wear under your jacket. its smart not to have a insulated while doing active sports coat unless you live where its below zero farenheight all the time
