Which ski?

2010 Volkl Ledge 158

2011 K2 Domain 159

2011 Salomon 2012 in whatever is in that size range.

What would be best? I ski all park and i want a ski with light swing weight.

Ledge - regular camber, the heaviest of the 3, more of an all mountain ski, symmetrical shape but not flex.
Domain - zero camber (park rocker), that's about all I know.
2012 - Tip and tail rocker, zero camber, the lightest of the 3, nice and fast, excellent edge hold, but to me they weren't very lively, just sorta there.

If it were me, I'd go with the Domain - but I'm willing to take risks on brand new skis, and they seem to be the liveliest of the 3.

I rode ledge's for two seasons and they are sick skis. Great on rails, a little soft for giant jumps but if your not hitting XL jumps then your fine. Very durable besides the topsheets which chip like crazy. super durable. I have a couple base scratches, no core shots, and edges are still in good condition.

The Domain, is definitely a step in the right direction for a K2 and it skis really well. It's funny though because i actually think hat the 2012 is livelier than the Domain. Anyhow, both good skis.

To the author, the Domain is a symetrical ski and actually park oriented. The 2012 actually leans towards the all mountain catagory. However is does do well in the park. And the Ledge is tried and true, tons of life but definitely stiffer than the other two. It all depends on your level of skiing and how much you want to spend.

yeah dawg 2012 are dope! i just picked some up!!!
they are more or less a little wider suspect with rocker and NO EDGE ARMOR thank god..
but i am pretty sure they have camber under foot aswell as rocker..

these skis will slay all mountain but obviously kill the park since they're designed by sammy and dane.
anyhows mad ski.

ledges aren't stiff at all, on the softer side and after two seasons their noodles, but still poppy.

This is correct - I was thinking about the Domain when I typed zero camber for some reason - they have a regular camber as well as tip and tail rocker.

I'm saying comparative to the Domains they are stiffer. The Domain has a thinner tip and tail profile that make them even softer than the Ledges. And after a couple seasons riding Ledges they still have pop because it a traditionally cambered ski. The Domains will have less over time because it has rocker in tip and tail.

so i narrowed it down to the domain and the ledge. i can get the ledge for $280 with marker griffons or the domain for $450 with the griffons.

Isn't the lege stort of a beginer/middel skilled ski, and the wall was the exspert/pro vertion, am i wrong?

I herd good things about both of them btw.

I've had the ledge for the last two seasons, they really are just no fun. They feel like dead weight.

oh. yea. i have heard about the ledge having "dead weight" but i have also heard that the domain is very hard to spin with

not true, my edges and bases are still minty after two seasons, granted i didn't do rails till this season and i am not a very aggressive skier. Fun skis that hold up well.

well i think that you should get the k2 or the 2012 because they both are a very good ski that you can trust for almost every thing from what i have heard

yea. im probably gonna try the domain but the volkl is only $250 and the domain is $450
