Homeless Revelation?

Okay so i was driving down the road a couple days ago, and i see a homeless man sitting ono the corner with his sign, we've all seen this, "anything will help," "looking for work," "god bless" etc.

Just a block further down from the homeless man was a woman dancing around with one of those arrow signs advertising to come into this electronics blowout sale, and it hit me. Why dont they just pay the less fortunate to hold a different looking sign?

They're getting the money they wanted, and they're still just sitting there holding a sign, the only difference is what is on the sign they are holding...

Homeless problem solved??

would you rather go to a place advertised with a well off guy or somewhere advertised by a guy wearing old ass stuff and a mangy beard?

or would you be like "oh shit, that business is helping get homeless people off the streets by providing them with a job, im gonna go in there and contribute, maybe buy an in-car ipod charger cuz my pod is getting low" ??

why cant a business be in business to provide a good or service and turn a tidy profit at that? I respect businesses more when they are out there doing what they do. not touting themselves to be "green" or "socially responsible" (PUKE)

the local shitty pizza place gets 13 year old kids to hold up the sign on the highway, they make like $5 an hour or something. but my town has like 5 homeless people

Do you realize the risk in businesses hiring the homeless? Where are their references? How does the business know the person won't just run off with the sign or work for a day or two and leave. It's much more expensive to hire a new worker than keep an existing one.

It's a noble thought, but just not business savvy.

Denver has a pretty large homeless population, and the state government has proposed a 10 year plan to abolish homelessness, i thought maybe this may help in the process, but im just some skier livin life to the fullest, i just put two and two together and thought it might be a good idea, im in no way going to propose this to anyone lol no hate

you know some people love to be homeless and the rest are just really lazy, big fuck ups, right? there's a reason they're homeless and the only change that's going to happen is to babysit them all day everyday so they don't fuck up again. that is if they accept your help in the first place.

Yeah I actually think I remember reading something about how a large percentage of runaway kids in the state are gay and their parents kicked them out. So fucked up.
