Random-edit with the Canon 7D and t2i

Theres been alot of threads about the 7d and t2i lately! Just thought I would share this little short I did yesterday. Both the cameras with the exact same lenses and settings! (50mm f1.8) exept one shot with the 15-85mm.  Just wanted to show that you cant tell the difference when it comes down to image-quality..

Btw, dont ask me why we washed the cup before pouring the coffee! hehe

Such a original little edit - really liked it. Some awesome cinematography there as well. So tempted by the T2i now aha.

what type of slider are you using? assuming it is a slider, but i guess it could be a dolly, just seems like a dolly wouldnt fit where you had that shot

Im 90% sure the shot at 1:25 was the one you used the 18-55mm lens, correct?

I usually use a dolly, but in this edit I used the SD Glidetrack

haha, sorry its not the 18-55 kit lense. Its the 15-85mm canon!

Very impressive short. Shot composition was near perfect on everything and the clarity was unbelievable. Very well done!

There could have been a little bit more lighting, I agree, but it's not too bad at all. One thing I did notice after watching it a third time was the over saturation on a few shots, giving skin-tone an orange look. Just be a little careful when color grading skin- it can be overdone easily.

^^  Yeah I wanted to go for a "warmer" look and feel. I didnt want the grading to look 110% natural. Color grading is much more fun than CC, hehe. Actually I did not adjust the saturation at all, but maybie a little to yellow lift/gamma or gain at some of the shots.

In that case, never mind. The "warm" look is definitely achieved. The only shot that I would really consider over warm in that case (in my opinion) is the first shot. Other than that, given that you were going for that look, the grading was spot-on.

Very nice edit! Love the camera, concept, and the way you approached everything!

I'm getting a 5D Mark II soon hopefully, can't wait for the video on those beasty canons.

I think that it would be a tad telephoto once you factor in the crop factor.

Its definetly not an allround-lense..I would use it more for the "artsy type of shots. When stopped down to f1.8, the field thats in focus is razor-thin! But Its one of my favorite lenses, really sharp and very cheap! I allways carry it with me

Thats a sweet lense! The f1.8 is really just plastic but for the price its a steal. Also its super sharp
