was cursing around t-line this weekend on viciks and next years BGs, here are some key points I noticed

BGs are now fun on groomers, before they were just strange and didnt ski well, but with the 5mm wider tails they can engage a turn pretty well for what they are. Would be quite fun as a do it all ski(minus park of course, how ever they do ski switch quite well now)

Viciks are exactly what they are ment to be, a smaller wren. Rowen and I were debating over mount points, he liked them at -4, i liked them at -9. but with a ski intended to not ski switch, I dont really see why a more centered mount would be needed. How ever when I skied them at -5 I did notice that they liked to turn sharper, but for me, the -9 was money for just arcing big GS turns

I also skied the Viciks this weekend. Moved farther forward (around -5ish) they turned sharper and skied more like the feel of a park ski. You could feel the tail come around when you turned. For a touring ski I would have them back at around -9. As MrsT. said perfect for those large GS style turns, but still quick and nimble.


The new BG's are amazing. I was shocked how fun they were to just mess around on. Yes, I found it weird but they were really fun to ski switch. A really fun ski and definitely an improvement from the old pair.

dig the new graphics too.

I'm still skiing on mine in spring/variable snow and toured with them about 12 days. don't be afraid of growing balls.

and also, I think suggested mount is spot on even for playfulness/slashing.
