How much trouble can I possibly get in?

There are two prom parties going on tomorrow night.

1.) is at a kid named Codie's house, now not many people like Codie because he is openly gay even though he's incredibly pleasant. Apparently a bunch of douchebags say they're going to show up at his house and wreck it.

2.) party doesn't really matter I guess.


Anyways, my question is. I have a Remington 870, and Codie while not a kid I generally hang out with..is someone I respect. I don't plan on having it loaded, because well shooting someone in the chest with double odd buck is not the way I like to finish my school year. Let's say I had it there, it wasn't loaded and I told someone to fuck off, and maybe pointed it at them. How much trouble could I get in?

I like the paintball gun idea, just light them up when they get out of their car or something. That would be so much funnier then if they get pissed you can kick their ass, you know how short tempered us men are. That's probably your best bet.

I've decided on a more reasonable course of action. I play football with some kids from Bancroft(town near where I live) and they are probably the scariest people I've ever met. Average height I'd say is 6'3" and average weight is around 250-260. They're pretty good friends of mine, and wanna come party in Haliburton this weekend so..yeah, I'mma get them to come to that party.

Coming from a fellow country boy...dont do it. Just sit out on the porch with some of your larger buddies and chill till they get there. Then politely tell them to leave, if they don't comply, act all tough and walk towards them and hope they get scurred and drive away.

If not, have a fucking brawl, beat their asses, and then proceed to get as much pussy and praise you want for sticking up for the kid and sending the troublemakers on their way.

well it all depends on how much of a bitch the person is or how much of a bitch other people are that are there i would not reccommend doing it in front of a bunch of people and if the kid is a big pussy he could call po-5 and get you fucked, if its not your house then dont bother no matter how nice the kid is or whatever it will beat gun charges and a story could get changed and you could get fucked even more.........dont do it my boy just got locked up for 2 years for gun charges

Sit outside the door, in a rocking chair, with a blanket over your lap with the gun under it. Smoke a cigar or something, create ambiance. When they show up throw some ol' western talk in there and then flash the shotgun when necessary.

No knives man, that shit is fucked up. This kid at school got stabbed in a mugging, the only way the police found him was by following his blood trail. If these inbred rednecks want to tango, just bring a couple of buddies up, and by the sounds of it, you can just maul them if you're 6'4" 215ish. If you really want to send someone a message, best bet is using your two fists. You bring any kind of weapon, the next time you run into them and don't have it, they will try and mess you up.

There's actually one kid we call the Bain Train. He was kicked out of the league for cleating a kid in the face when they were shaking hands at the end of the game. Beard like a retarded hillbilly and is about 6'6". Pretty fucking strong too.

Suckerfishing gigs don't work too well for regular people. Skin's too hard.

And thats why we shouldn't assume, kids. Its definitely not as easy to get a gun in canada as it is in the states. the only gun you're going to get in walmart is a fucking daisy BB gun lol. i agree with your point however. definitely dont bring a gun to a party, thats just a bad call. what if they dont even come, are you going to carry a shotgun around with you all night? nothin sketchy about that...Definitely not as sketchy as LOCKING THE DOOR, since it wont be that big of a party anyways aparently.

There is a difference between having a gun in your house and carrying it in public. To do that you need to have a license. Without a license, you will be fucked fucked fucked. If you have to consider bringing a gun to a party, you shouldn't be there in the first place.

do not ever bring a gun to a party bad things that you could never predict will happen. I had to drive my friend to the hospital last summer because some dumb rednecks got pissed that we didn't want to stay at their bonfire and started a fight involving a not loaded gun. my friend got hit over the head with a log nobody was shot but still it sucked. hes fine now. but still

YOU ONLY POINT WEAPONS AT PEOPLE YOU ARE PLANNING ON KILLING.

It is easier to KILL someone if its loaded, so you should probably load it. Pointing a weapon at someone to scare them is something that SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Pointing an unloaded weapon at someone is a good way to get yourself KILLED.

You point an unloaded weapon at me, I will KILL YOU. Even if you manage to say its unloaded in the last 1.5 seconds of your life.

DO NOT DO THIS!

Honestly you want to protect this kid. go to his party to enjoy the party. If/when the idiots show up, politely tell them that they are uninvited unwelcome and to leave. They will either leave or attack you, or push through you. Make they assault you to gain entry. Getting the shit beaten out of you is the best way you can defend this kid.

i live in ontario as well, getting a gun here is close to impossible. i know this because my stepdad tried to get a license so that he could take his old .22 pistol from his pentathlete days to a range every once in a while, and after months and months of papers and bills and forms and shit, he still doesnt have it. we barely even have any gun shops at all, let alone cheap guns at walmart

While there is part of me that would love for you to bring your football friends and literally break all their noses and make them drink smoothies for two months, that wouldn't really solve your problem. Ultimately, kooks like that are just angry and insecure. You beating them up will only make them more so, which in turn will only lead to them doing more furtive, hateful, and immature things. If I was you, I'd chill outside away from the place a bit, wait until you see them show up and call the police. You record everything that happens including their names, the license plate number, etc. Then, they even touch anything and they will have fun paying huge fines and doing lots of community service at the least, and going to jail for a while at the worst. They will get the lesson better that way.

I realize you took a different path but I would still like to point out some issues:

You do not have a right to carry firearms in Ontario for a situation like that. You will not be able to successfully apply for an Authorization to Carry with circumstances like what you were thinking.

-If the police get called you will 100% spend more time in court than the people you point the gun at. First off this doesn't sound like your property hence you would have to bring the shotgun; looks like premeditation to me.

-Secondly prom parties are usually after dark which means you would have to have the gun properly locked up and stored and because you won't be in your vehicle nor is the house yours you will run into a host of other legal issues with regards to firearms storage.

-If you do happen to point the gun at someone you are royally f**ked unless they were threatening to kill you or someone else and it was you last resort. No matter how good your intentions are bringing a gun into play is a terrible idea, you will ruin the party and you will potentially ruin your own life (or others).


This is all coming from a gun owner and hunter. Don't pull shit like this unless you are prepared to suffer the consequences.

The kid who apparently tried to trash it showed up at my friend Zach's house at like 3 in the morning while we were having a bonfire after Codie's(gay kid) and he was lipping at me..so I kneed him in the stomach then proceeded to kick him in the stomach as he was lying on the ground. I can't really remember but I think he threw up.
