It just sucks for the defense because every one of them thought he was offsides and stopped running. I guess they learned their lesson though, you can't always make assumptions like that at the international level.

So many people driving around with Mexican flag car things today, so awesome. Expected them to win, but by 2? Man how the hell did France get so terrible so fast? Mexico should have won by like 4 as well they had so many good chances.

france is by no means a terrible team. what they do have however, is one of the worst coaches in world cup history, and a group of old players who refuse to believe that time is up. Blanc will be in charge as soon as they're out, and guys like henry, gallas, and anelka will never wear the blue shirt ever again. Guys like gourcuff, toulalan, valbuena, benzema and nasri are there to take their places. France will be a serious threat in the coming years...

They always have 1 bad world cup followed by 1 good one.

Germany down by 1 at 1-0 with Serbia in the lead. This ref is giving a lot of cards, germany already got a red and consequently lost a player and were scored on. Nooooo I wanted Germany to win.

Normally I don't like to blame the ref on this kind of shit but the Ref for the Germany-Serbia game is totally fucked. Is a little consistancy too much to ask?

My team had a ref like that last time we played. Every time contact was made and somebody even went the slightest bit off balance somebody got a card or kick. And the one sideline ref was calling offsides way too often; he called on a player that wasn't in the play, before the ball was played and when one of our guys was faster and ran past the defender.

GO USA! Germany may have won with 1 men on the field, they were still pushing hard with ten.

That ref sucks dick..he probably cost the game for the US with that hand ball call on finley, if he didnt call anything that loose ball in the box had a great chance of going in...but instead slovenia went on attack and is sitting on a comfortable lead

Bob Bradley needs to take his fucking son out of the game. He is showing no effort at all and loses every ball in the middle. on the second goal, he stabbed at midfield, overran the the Slovenian player by 3 feet, and then jogged back to the play.

Switch Buddle in for Findley, and put Clark in for Bradley. We need some energy, bad.

If England beats Algeria and we lose to Slovenia, we can't advance.

Yeah I wasn't aware getting hit in the face was a handball. I kinda liked the way our offense played in the first half, more towards then end. They keep getting it down the left side and getting some chances, but they never made anything out of it. From the start the defense looked a little unfocused. They really need a goal, or a massive USA chant from the crowd or something to bring up their spirits.

The USA is playing like a high school team... They started the game out patiently, sort of feeling out the slovenians... and then they allowed the early goal with some terrible mis-marking, giving the dude miles of space. Bad communication there.

Then they started to freak out, and just sent the long ball deep every time they touched it. Seriously? Dont get frustrated so quickly... play the ball down the wings... get some rhythm going in the centre... ANYTHING but playing longball...

They made some strong offensive chances... and that yellow on findley was an absolutely STUPID call on the ref. Seriously? It hit him in the FACE... it didnt even hit him in the shoulder. Such a downright stupid call by the referee.

Then, the back line is just not communicating well and playing STUPID, and allowing a 2nd goal there near the end.

The USA needs to establish possession of the game. They need to start playing smart, and establish rhythm. and they NEED to get back in defense. They are a fast team. They cant let Slovenia outrun them to the ball and they cannot allow them to dictate the pace of the game.

They have to hit the 2nd half firing on all cylanders and come out as an entirely different team if they expect to win this game, or even draw... or even lose by less than 3...

Hand ball call in the box was bullshit however you can't really blame the ref that much seeing as we had multiple chances to put the ball in the back of the net and just couldn't follow through. However if our defense decides to show up in the second half we might just be able to pull off the draw/win seeing as we had some great chances at the end of the first half.
