Wasn't expecting this, I was hping for it.

What a gruesome foul from the one who got red, he just stomped on Robben's leg whom he tackled to the ground, that was awful.

I'm surprised the score wasn't higher for the Netherlands they had soo many chances in the end.

good game, though i'm not completely sure the netherlands have what it takes to win it all.


But the brazilians must be pissed. 2 world cups in a row now they fall to a european team in the quarters. (though in 06 france absolutely dominated them)

yea, but brazil is always a favorite, and they always declare themselves to be the best in the world. And they won't be happy because they are usually able to get by anyone.

well, they haven't been the best team in the world for 8 years really.

I don't like the way that everyone always assumes brazil are the best, including the fifa ranking. Yes, they've won the finals 5 times, but only 2 in the most recent era, and i'm not even sure anyone who was on those winning teams even plays for brazil anymore. They are a good team, but they aren't the best. For one thing, when they do play internationals, they usually play south american teams, the majority of which are not very good, so it's easy for them.

Netherlands - Spain in the final.

Argentina opens itself up to the counterattack much too often - it's suspect for a massive counterattack eventually.

Germany? I'll have to see them against Argentina to know how for real they are...

Spain? They're legit. But without a healthy Torres? Hmmm.. they have been rather suspect on offense...

Paraguay/Uruguay? Paraguay will bow to Spain. Uruguay is a healthy challenge, but I will be severely surprised if they make it to the finals over the likes of the almighty ORAJE!

damn that match was getting real dirty at the end.  The fucking red card was so deserved on melos part.  can't believe that he did that.  but i guess he was jsut pissed about his own goal that put his team out of the world cup.  i wonder if he is going to be living in a week after he returns home.

GHANA vs URUGUAY who's rooting for who?

I say Ghana - for me this match is relatively unimportant, I don't really feel for either side, but I like that Ghana is the only African nation left and I don't want the US to have lost in vain.

BTW...EPIC STRIKE BY MUNTARI HOLY SHIT. What a curve from way outside, that was nuts.

You may see that massive counterattack tomorrow by Germany. They showed how explosively they can move the ball out from their end last weekend against a slower England. I'd imagine that Germany will look to exploit Argentina's loose play in the same manner.

Hell they lit a taxi on fire outside Staples after the Lakers win.

My dad said back in the 70's he was living down the street from a pub in Manchester, and Germany beat England in the World Cup, and in the morning there was just a line from the pub all the way down the street and any German-made car was scratched to fuck, had the windows smashed out, etc. I guess this one beamer got flipped too.
