i'm not an england fan at all, but i feel very bad for them, cause with a 2-2 for the second half, i think they could have won the game! cause they got better and better!

England didn't deserve to win. That doesn't change the fact that 2-2 would've been a completely different game. We wouldn't have got caught on the counter twice to make the score look embarrassing for a start. Everyone where I was watching thought it was a goal seeing it live, and they kept showing one replay from the other side of the pitch to the linesman. Clear. As. Day.

Still, we lost, we deserved to, played shit.

Wow Chile is playing well against Brazil at the moment. If it wasn't for Brazil's good defense saving their ass, Chile would probably be winning right now.

And about the Mexico game, Argentina is by far the better team. About the only good player on Mexico was Salcido (guy is amazing), the rest were mediocre. Yes that should have been offside though, but it wouldn't have won the game for them.

i actually think that's going to be one of the worst games of the tournament. Both teams are good and are skilled, but both are also masters of simulation.

I agree with him.  Maradona is a cocky coke whore.  When you tell pele, the best player who's ever played the game, to just stay in the museums you won't be very liked.  Also, he admitted the only reason he is coaching Argentina is for the money, which he will just use to buy more coke. 

I like Argentina, but not their coach.

Ok, Ill admit on Mexico,Hernandez is pretty damn good but just lacks the experience. He will probably be amazing by the next world cup.

And I forgot that Brazil plays Germany next, and Im not doubting them at all, but I dunno if they can compete with Brazil. Its going to be an interesting game. If Germany can get by Brazil defense, they could def win cause Brazils offense is nothing amazing.

i hate maradona because he thinks he's the shit. He refuses to accept that anyone else could possibly have been nearly as good as him. He's a media-king. All he wants is the press. Argentina right now is one of the best teams in the world, and doing extremely well....but we hear nothing of that, because instead maradona talks about his own issues and feuds. He's not in this for them, he's in it for himself. Being a fat coke head wasn't working for him, so he went back to football.

Dude, settle down. When a player gets to old to play, they usually try to coach if they wanna stay in the game. Some of the footage I have seen of him dribbling is damn insane, you cannot knock someone who can dribble through 5 guys. He is coaching arguably the best team in the Cup right now so I would say he is pretty legit.

However, the USA coach needs to be fired. We need someone like Maradona who is a legit character and has played the game at that level or something, it really helps

I agree. Yeah, Maradona can get a little media-happy at times, but you gotta remember that the coaches are a big part of a team's success. Look at argentina, they are absolutly slaying. So I kinda like maradona.

oh i'm well aware of how it works, and i could care less about him, but he comes off as being in it for himself. He was an excellent player, but regardless, he should be a bit more humble instead of feuding with pele. Together they probably could have done great things for the game with promotions/charities, but instead maradona chose to call pele gay. Real mature.

In any case, i think zidane was way more badass than maradona. He made a whole team better rather than being a 1 man show.

Bob Bradley does NOT need to be fired. He's probably part of the reason they even made it this far.

Yes, he made some interesting lineups according to some people, but his reasoning behind all of his moves? I fully support him on every decision. He made his lineups off of what he, and likely, anyone else who knows soccer, would have thought would have been successful.

The only thing I would have done, was put feilhaber in against Ghana from the start. He had a very good match against algeria, and he's a great energy guy. To compare him to hockey, he's like that guy on the 4th line that establishes momentum... gets big hits, makes hardnosed plays, and pours his energy out with every move he makes. PLUS, he didnt play the whole game against algeria... so he wasn't all that tired i wouldnt think. He did put him in at halftime against ghana though.. and he delivered a bit of a spark, and got the 2nd half off to a great start for the USA. They almost capitalized early and got a few goals, too... that game could have just as easily have been 2-1 USA after all those chances.. several of which were definitely engineered by bradley and feilhaber...

The USA does NOT need Maradona. I dont think any of this is really Maradona's doing. He just happens to be coaching some of the most talented players out there... messi and tevez are murderously good... especially against defenses that are not, in all honesty, ALL that good.

When they face off against germany, and spain/portugal... then we'll see how they do... but so far, they haven't been as amazing as everyone has said. They've just been able to score incredibly well against defenses that dont know how to contain players of that calibre. We'll see how they do against much more talented defenses. I have a feeling spain would be able to knock them off, if those two ever met.

Although... Johann Cruyff's issue was he took his controlling roll in the team too far. His issues with the goaltender on the dutch 74 team lead to a potential loss...

That said. 4 goals allowed is inexcusable for how good the dutch were.

He did turn Ajax into an unstoppable force in the early 70's, though... 3 straight European Club Championships? I dont care what Real Madrid did in the 50's... that dynasty was the dawning of the modern era of the entire game... That's how instrumental that guy was. (Klazo, you can officially love me now)
