Least I thought they were Cbars... they were certainly some type of ski goggle. I kinda lol'd because they seemed sorta out of place... minus the fact that they are "made in usa"

It was not an offside call. The linesman did not raise his flag. Not at all. In fact, the whistle was blown before the play even really started.. I heard it while Donovan was heading towards the ball. It's as if the Ref KNEW he was going to blow the whistle for no fucking reason. Even if he called offsides hes not in a position to call that, seeing as hes 12 meters behind the play.

I reffed too for a bit, and I can say solidly, that this is a load of horseshit, and I've never seen such absolutely stupid calls... not even in my high school days where refs would call bullshit offsides. I dont care how tight he was trying to call this game... his calls were fucking bogus.

First was the Findley call. The ball hit off his fucking FACE... his hand was nowhere NEAR it. And you yellowcarded him for that, and now he cant play against Algeria. I want blood for that alone... That was a load of dung.

Then, throughout the game there was a series of bad fouls called that were not there... and it gave possession to the slovenes and totally disrupted the americans rythm. The first half wasnt just the americans sucking... there was a lot of dumb shit where the ref called a foul when there was zero contact. not even incidental contact. None whatsoever... The only good play he called was when he waved play on after dempsey stepped on the ball. Ive seen some refs who couldnt keep up with the play make some dumb call that he was tripped or something... 

Now for the goal... First of all... The defenders leg was inside of Bradley's pushing it forward of his... and he was bearhugging him before the play even started... so if you're going to call offsides, that's extremely grey area, and should never be called even in the 40th minute, much less the 85th. At least 2 other USA players were getting bearhugged as well... its one thing to block out an attacker... its another to bearhug... the Slovene players were tired and the americans were surging... and they got real lucky on a bogus call.

I am a Newcastle United supporter, and during one of the last games of the season, a Sheffield Utd player blatantly bearhugged and held down the striker Andy Carroll, and it gave a PK to the Toon, who tied it, and later went ahead to secure promotion.
Granted, grabbing a player like that isnt always something given all the time, but when 3 players are blatantly holding attackers back in a near orchestrated manner... its an easy call in my book.. especially when it takes a way a clear scoring chance as there was here... ESPECIALLY when you're calling the game as fucking tight as the ref was today... fucking cockarse dipshit.

Regardless of which.. whether you make that call or not, you wave play on and whistle when the ball's dead, or if there is an immediate loss of given advantage. In which case... Edu scores, and after the England - Algeria draw, the USA would be onto the knockout phase, and would potentially win the group, and be able to rest some players against algeria.

Nobody knows what the call will be, and nobody will know. Thats the biggest issue I have with fifa, is that referees dont have to explain shit... and yet FIFA actually loves the controversy of it all. Fuck that shit... in the MLB a few weeks ago, the umpire at 1st made a boneheaded call that took away a perfect game... he fessed up and apologised... I dont know whether its just american culture, but that seems pretty commonsensical to me right? Fuck that "we love the controversy of human error'' speech fifa... Just wait till China and the USA become dominant in soccer, and then try to say that when you have 2 superpowers shoving it at your ass...



There was no foul. There should not have been a whistle. The play should have stayed on, and even if Edu missed, there should have been a penalty. The end.

stop blaming the fact that america sucks on the refs, germany played shit today and i'm not gonna go around blaming it on the ref because if they played better they would have won, just like the US. also refs in america (MLB reference) confess because americans whine and complain about refs for months until they confess or the league says something to apologize or admit the mistakes.

The USA shouldnt have played crappy in the first half. I already said that... and I'll give it. and it almost serves them right that they didnt get the win...

but when I look at this from an unbiased point of view (assume it was like... France who got fucked, and they were playing Ireland OOOO CONTROVERSY!) then I would surely side with france on this one, because its just a downright awful call... right up there in the top 10 worst I have ever seen.

I'm mostly pissed off because heres just another reason why some people in America hate the sport... If it happened to somebody else, i'd be just as pissed off if it got word over here... It's not helping the case at all for growing the sport in north america... When refs can make bad calls, and they dont have to deal with any repercussions, it doesn't sit very well in the stomach of fans here, who despise bad calls and when they see such atrocities, call for blood... (see 28 out perfect game for an example of people freaking on such a situation)

these refs are so card happy. The Australian player should not have gotten a red card. There should have been a PK but he did not intentionally hit the ball with his hand. And the germany game was just ridiculous

Pretty sure USA would advance over england if we both tie because we have more goals scored, as the second tiebreaker, unless England ties slovenia like 4-4 and USA ties Algeria 0-0. It's how the rules are made, it's not because of any call, learn your facts.

doesn't matter if it was intentional or not, he denied a clear goalscoring opportunity. anywhere else on the field, he probably would have gotten a yellow and it would've been a FK, but it was on the goal line.

Im sure he didn't want to give him that card, but that is honestly the rules. He should have just let the goal go in, at least he would still be in the game. I hate to see that happen, but in tournament play, Im glad the ref had the balls to make the decision.

If both the USA and England Draw their next matches, the USA goes through as long as England Doesnt draw with 2 goals more scored than USA does (IE: england draws 2-2, and USA draws 0-0) Otherwise, it goes into a whole other crazy tiebreaking deal, and would likely lead to a lottery draw... of which I would hate so much, because the loser of such a lottery wouldnt even get any such consolation from it - such as an automatic trip to the next WC or something..

That said, fuck it... If the USA cannot beat Algeria, and England cannot beat Slovenia, than neither team would have a shot against Ghana, Germany, or Serbia next round... Just throttle these wannabies and move on...

im always surprised how many holland supporters i see on here, haha. wonder why that is, im sure not all of you are dutch. definitely a good thing, they never seem to get the press that most of the other top 10 teams do. counter attack was a bit off against japan, but they still got the 3 points, and have not give up a goal yet. i thought there might be some drop of with van der Sar retiring but the defense is playing better than in the past and Stekelenburg has played nicely. and with Robben back from the hamstring next match and in full stride by elimination they should have as good a shot as any.

The performances by the lesser European teams (and others) in this tournament have been disgusting. Switzerland, Denmark and Greece for example all seemed content to sit with 9 or 10 men behind the ball and only go for goal on the rare counter.

Yeah if America has more than 2 goals over England (or maybe its 2 or more), then they advance. But someone was telling me that if that doesn't happen and it comes down to a dead tie, they are going to put America through to make up for the bad call against them.

That last game was fucking insane. There were so many chances for Cameroon, but they couldn't finish. Denmark got very little chances, but finished well. Goal by Romedahl was amazing. same with bendtner's goal. I was so scared at the end when Cameroon was pressuring. But an awesome game.

I dont think that this is entirely true although it is not easy for the average North Korean to get access to any type of media.

What is really messed up are their so called supporters. There are about a thousand of them and in reality they are chinese who have been paid by the North Korea to support them at every game wearing.

Furthermore, in the beginning of the cup, the team also refused to ride on the bus which was supposed to transport them to the stadion. The reason for this was that it was a Hyundai which is manufactured in South Korea.

I find this really entertaining for some reason, but at the same time it is also shocking.
